Warriors fans are buzzing about the upcoming clash against the Eels, with most agreeing the team should stick with the winning lineup from their recent victory. Strong sentiment favors keeping CNK at fullback, with many highlighting his defensive organization, relentless yardage work 200m+ runs, and calming influence. The Warrior Waka #10 argues CNK’s "one-percenters" like marshaling defenders and tireless kick returns create momentum that’s easy to overlook, while Beastmode #14 notes his combo with RTS and DWZ instantly gains 30-40m per set. Zaggo #33 bluntly calls the fullback debate "dead and buried," insisting consistency is key.
Halfback Tannah Boyd’s role also sparked discussion, especially after his improved showing last game. While Canonball #20 worries about defensive reads and kicking accuracy, others defend his development. sydneywarrior92 #27 credits Boyd’s suffocating long kicks and goal-kicking value, adding the Titans mishandled his growth earlier in his career. MrFrankWhite #23 shares Mal Meninga’s insight that Boyd’s struggles are "entirely mental," urging confidence.
The consensus? Run it back with the exact same 17. timburgesstheonlyoneiknow #3 and sup42 #9 stress changing a winning formula now would be "dumb," especially against tough opponents like the Eels. Even initially skeptical voices like BlackToko88 #16 now praise the balance CNK brings, freeing RTS to shine as an elite winger. Fans hope this settled lineup fuels a finals charge!
Mal said some insightful stuff about Tannah pre-game. "Biggest thing about Tannah is he needs to believe in himself". Seems Boyd's issue is entirely mentalCan't shake doubts about Boyd - probably had his best game with us last night, but his defensive reads are slow and yeah I still have an issue with his in game kicking, his accuracy is off - however we're not going to see anyone else at 7 now, it's too late to experiment personnel-wise so we're going to have to settle and back him so what I want to see are more options running off him -- the combination of him and CHT on the left side was great last night, let's throw a few 2nd rowers in and around that too
He’s going to keep getting a lot of traffic his way when he keeps missing tackles. Thought he played really well but 16 made with 6 misses means teams will be watching that. Webster thought it was Boyd and CHT’s best performance together and I’d agree with thatMal said some insightful stuff about Tannah pre-game. Dan hates CNK. He normally waits for a loss to call for him to be moved though.I swear some people are watching a totally different game..
I actually think TB's general kicking game is better than Luke's. His long kicking game was what allowed us to suffocate the Titans. Also helped that Berry was back to lead the kick chase. Not to mention his goal kicking which is quite possibly his biggest asset to this team. His running game has started to develop nicely as well. He's often the scapegoat when we lose which I don't think is fair. He's been quite solid for us in his outings in first grade. Can't shake doubts about Boyd - probably had his best game with us last night, but his defensive reads are slow and yeah I still have an issue with his in game kicking, his accuracy is off - however we're not going to see anyone else at 7 now, it's too late to experiment personnel-wise so we're going to have to settle and back him so what I want to see are more options running off him -- the combination of him and CHT on the left side was great last night, let's throw a few 2nd rowers in and around that too
Yeah, I tend to agree with that - he has more than enough of the talent for what we're asking him to do - I don't want to be misinterpreted, I think he's actually a pretty good half, better than a bunch of others running around in 1st grade - I think the team has to come to him, look at where he is, and anticipate a bit more - we are starting to see that combination with CHT others have to followMal said some insightful stuff about Tannah pre-game. Tits are responsible for any mental hangovers that TB has. The way they f**ed with his development over the last three years, and quite frankly every half coming through their system, would rock any young half's development. He is still 24, younger than Luke. So still plenty of upside potential.Yeah, I tend to agree with that - he has more than enough of the talent for what we're asking him to do - I don't want to be misinterpreted, I think he's actually a pretty good half, better than a bunch of others running around in 1st grade - I think the team has to come to him, look at where he is, and anticipate a bit more - we are starting to see that combination with CHT others have to follow

Especially this time of the season.I can't believe there's still chat about moving CNK out of fullback.
That conversation should be absolutely dead and buried by now, right next to "give Paul Turner a fair go!" and "the Kepu twins are the next big thing".
Pick and stick. Don't change a winning team.
Theres no debate, especially when it centres around moving RTS there so in effect we are moving two of our best players to plug a hole that doesn't need plugging.I can't believe there's still chat about moving CNK out of fullback.

Gameplan for Eels has to be the same as Tits. Complete high, dominate possession and suffocate them.
Chooks fell to pieces once Walker got knocked out. Completely rudderless.Moses and JAC were scary good last weekend. I'm up in the air if that was because the Eels clicked in gear or because the Chooks mega choked.
Probably a bit of both, but holy shit that Chooks error count was shocking.
He’s on 850k needs to at least be able to pass the ball to someone in a hole at leastI thought Marata played one of his best of the season last night. Pretty low bar though tbf
