Losing JFH on top of Barnett and Metcalf is a blow. I know he's not gone for the season like them but it is while we are trying to overcome those losses and also at the time of the season you want to be building towards your best.

Vaimauga has been playing well so he deserves an opportunity to step up and start.

The reports of young Cleary being promoted to the top 30 seem a bit clearer now with the CHT injury. Already have down a half in the squad with Metcalf out.

A shame as CHT has had a good run injury free this year. It was good having stability in the halves for as long as it lasted.

You forgot Egan bro.

We have lost every single one of our top players bar Leka. Every one.

Worst injury cluster in the clubs history.

Im actually ok with the TMM Boyd combination, i think thats a better mix than either of them with Chanel. However their combination has shined in NSW Cup behind a pack thats running dominant, that aint going to be the case in first grade so it'll be interesting how they go.

Problem i think is like last game when we dont control the ruck. And looking at that under powered bench i can see us struggling again with this.

I get the Lussick selection to cover hooker as no way was Healy ever going to play 80. If he ends up front row cover tho we're screwed. Taine on the bench is just a strange one.....means he's purely back cover. Aint gonna happen but im hoping he starts at fullback and CNK bites the bullet, takes a centre spot cause with Capewell and Dals out wide im licking my lips if im a Dolphins outside back.

I cant pick us in this one but ill be chur hooing for them nonetheless, plus im really pleased Demetric's getting a start, that boy wont let u down. He's got future leader written all over him. And whatever happens watching the Leka journey continue is always a treat

I haven’t combed the forum, but the vibe ain’t great. Looking at the positives - I kinda think Boyd/TMM kinda balance each other out a bit more: ones for organising, the other silky ballplaying; Demi looks ready to start; Healey - could be a bench spot audition for finals; DWZ - looks like he’s with Pompey, was it his fault or the d inside him not going great?.
If we can front up in the forwards, we’ll give the Phins a good go.

Possible the fins props might do a Joe Tapine on us

@Inruin light those candles in your TMM shrine. Hope your boy can save us
No shrine mate but the last 5 games or even more have shown we needed to lift our attacking threat. It won't be one player that wins or loses this game. Hopefully Boyd/TMM can click and deliver, though like most pundits know, it's difficult for halves to prosper if the forwards arent laying a platform. Can ours do enough to at least get parity?

I'm hoping TT comes into fullback and CNK to the centres because that bench looks very light and I don't have faith with Capewell in the centers.

Look, I don't think we were going to go far with a Boyd/CHT halves pairing. It will be a massive effort if we get the win, but even a strong showing could be enough to give confidence for a run home. The Dolphins are a very good side and play good football. They are deserved favourites but we have seen this season that doesn't necessarily translate in to results.

I'd rather a team with TT, Boyd, TMM and Healey as the spine playing footy and trying stuff than falling to dour losses from robotic play.

Let's see how we go, nothing to lose really is there.
