General Warriors Preseason 2025

Keep ANZAC round against the GC at Auckand every year. Any team that puts 66 on us has declared war, and an anger for revenge that will simmer in our blood for years.
Especially beating us by 30 points in both halves. That burns a fair bit more for me than the 54 points that the Storm put on us in the second half of the ANZAC game in 2022. You can if you're a Warriors fan put down to "just one of those 40 minutes and given we had injuries" etc.. Not the Titans game. We. Demand. Utu. Brutal. Painful. Bloody. Noisy. Over. And. Over. :)

Can’t believe they are already back training.

Good thing we had an extra month off from missing the playoffs

Maybe the epic run in 2023 burnt the boys out

Hope the international boys get a decent break, and JFH plays his Penrith minutes instead of 70+ AFB minutes

Must be weird for TMM & Charnz training there without a 2026 contract

Why....... next year is only 2025

It would be interesting to know if any more time is being spent upskilling Pompey in the Second Row. Obviously way better options but a guy that could be a viable option off the bench as a Wing, Centre & Edge and who's comfortable on either side is an asset not many others provide

All plus's if that be the case.
Has the build, and we know his attributes at centre
Ideal bench player, come backup

I always thought Pomps could be a Mr Fixit and play backrow, Centre/wing/6 at a pinch off of the bench.
Halasima is another one. Not 6, But a little training at 9 and he could be so valuable off the bench as he covers the backs & forwards as well.

TBH I would like to see Halasima become a starting backrower. I thought he was the most impressive of all the new players that played FG this year. Nanai was the same age as Halasima is now when he became a regular starter in FG. Hoping Leka can do the same as it will give us some much needed X factor.

Totally agree! I was referring to how good it is to have his versatility in the team in general. Not just off the bench.

I like that idea. Whether it's Pompey (existing wing/centre skills) or Walker (existing centre/edge skills) you're adding one more trick and making them decent, fine upstanding members of the Jack Of All Trades Master Of None Union. Which, as far as I'm concerned, is what a 14 is. A Utility. They can come in at short notice, do a damn decent but hardly stunning job in whatever position for a bit, then bugger off back to the bench/another position as needs require.
Then add the "ability to play both sides" attribute. Which, of course, makes them a near cert for 14 - or 15? - as there's now six positions they can put a decent shift in at...

Step-daughter was at Mt Smart yesterday for a sports day - little sneak got off participation by saying she's was sick, but stood there with a rake at a long jump pit - she saw the warriors training and shouted 'up the wahs' to them, they laughed apparently - good girl

I think we dropped out bundles more than burnout across the whole team.

Our best form was able to destroy all but we couldn't sustain it.

Then we lifted for the Penrith's but dropped our rings for the titans etc.

Reading tobbycrosby_athlete's Instagram has me FULLY PUMPED to go to the gym tomorrow morning and COMPLETE A BRONCO IN ONE HOUR.
According to the Searley Talks Sport podcast Freddy Lussick came first in the Bronco for the second year running.
The player who gave him the biggest cShallenge was Eddie Ieremia-Toeava.
Be kind of amusing if NRL360 or someone put together an NRL-wide list of Broncos scores.
Just to see how many Broncos do well at the Bronco.
