I’d still be keen to keep him as we are short on centres or will we be covered with Adam, Ali and Anderson ?

Perhaps like with Metcalf the injuries meant they’re too unreliable?

I would assume with this news that CHT is about to re sign for next season. I really hope it is a 2 year rather than 1 year deal as reported.

I'm pretty blown away Metcalf can't handle being 6 rather than 7. He's being paid great money to be a part of a successful team that has looked after him while he's been off the park (which is more the time he's been on the park). We all know his potential and what he can add to our team if fully fit and firing. I'm pretty gutted TBH, feels like there is more to this, or simply he puts his positional preference above the value of being a team player. Perhaps the Warriors have had a huge change of heart, and would prefer he clears cap and leaves? I would suspect Boyd is on a cheaper deal, and may better fit our future plans with our up and coming halves being seen as 6's rather than 7's.

There must be more too this, hopefully we'll find out soon. I hope he sticks around this season regardless, and that he goes to a Perth, Dragons rather than a Doggies or Sharks..

He’s currently paid halfback money, he wants halfback money going forward, so needs to be a halfback. It’s like 25% different in terms of pay

Although not official, it’s pretty clear this will be like the Barney situation and we will be expecting a player back in return for letting Luke go early.

I kind of like the idea of going for a young prospect we are high on, rather than an established player unless it’s a very good player. Don’t need a journeyman
