Where's Charnze? In Auckland?
Gus is in Auckland too according to the rumour mongers on the Kennnel. Probably just a coincidence.

I listen to a podcast last week with Gus, and he was talking about his itinerary for going all over the show for securing junior talent. He said then he was traveling to NZ the following week....pretty sure they have a hub set up here...

There's definitely an existing link to Canterbury Rugby League

Is there a way Mehcalf comes out of this in a good light?
Gotta be careful in the sense of it might not have even been driven from Metcalf himself.
Best case scenario for all would probably be the narrative that Metcalf is coming back from a serious injury and wants to get some runs on the board to get back to full health. Great to have competition to bring out the best in all of the halves and all are important and will have a chance to contribute to the team.

By firing his agent or fronting reporters at training to debunk it, if untrue 😂

If he plays well someday, well, Galvin played well last year too.

That video pretty much summed up the mainstream narrative of non die hards

I think if LM goes the Warriors will be seeking compensation and it won't be financial, so it wont be PNG or Perth.

What position do we want a high quality signing in?

I’d say fullback and leadership or experience at prop. Might not necessarily be compensation as NZ connected Timoko and Leniu are on the market apparently, can use cap for that

Those 2 actually fit the experienced prop and outside back requirements, if webby thinks they can fit in, probably no short term elite fb available atm, timoko would be a great rts as centre replacement, anderson’s more a berry upgrade workhorse. Ali to fb? He has the distribution skills, a preseason on fitness? Put at fb at cup last year too

Fox sports take:

They haven’t been through watching our groomed playmaker missing 60% of games every single year since 2023 nor watching the team fall apart in 2024 after similar AFB bombshell

The TMM video someone posted actually made it worse, NZ media even Tony Kemp etc (or the entire SJ lounge panel claiming he’s the future *cough Tanah) have been so nice and over praising him since 2023 to keep him here and fans losing sleep over if we will pay him enough for an extension to stay, now we’re second on the table with cht/boyd, put it bluntly suddenly he wants clarification if he’s handed the 7 next year 😂

What if webby says no, you fight like hell for it?

A social post denial would be ideal from the warriors or metcalf PR team, news cycle runs for 72 hours and it’s almost out and no denial. Might have to wait till team naming to have reporters ask webby directly about it. Not life and death but PR savvy staff paid to do this would usually deal with it swiftly

So someone said RNZ asked and it was no comment from the club?

No facts are known are they?
Well i mean its the same as when people were saying he was giving dirty looks at boyd, but then suddenly smiling at clark. Its a bye round, people are board so they want some villian of the week to sharpen there pitchforks at. It's all rumors at the moment. Especially so now that other aussies media outlets aren't even calling it a report anymore. You want aussie star power in the club then this kind of things is going to happen all the time. Its onto the fans to see if they gobble it up and ask for seconds.
