He’s basing that off reports that are out there. We’re all unsure how true they are.

Remember that age does play a part in how the club prioritises prospects.

A week or two ago he said he talked to a couple of aussie journalists in person while at the ground and Crosby was pretty close to leaving

Gannon is a different kettle of fish to Tonks and Baldwinson. I think one had played 2 games of superleague and the other none. Gannon’s a lot more experienced and has a lot more on his resume.

Obviously its a big step up from superleague to the the NRL, but his skillset from what I have seem impresses me. Good passing game and nice vision and size. It hopefully complements the young athletic hole runners we have coming through.

Time will tell where he’s good enough but I think the potential is intriguing and there.

Gannon is in the England national squad, debuted at 17 & has almost 70 super league games before the age of 22. He’s a project for sure, but comes with a high ceiling & runs on the board.

There’s been a few English forwards that have made the transition to NRL to be elite players, Gareth Ellis, John Bateman, sam burgess, Elliot whitehead, and now Nicholson is making his own impact. British forwards tend to transfer over well, backs, not so much.

Gannon will be a good recruit, in time. I think he’ll start from cup & work his way into first grade when he’s ready, unless he has a stellar pre season. I’ve got high hopes for him based on the footage I’ve seen though.

Mason Tonks and Jordan Baldwinson, out here for a holiday
Those two epitomise how awful our scouting was in that period.

Not their fault at all.

But I've legitimately seen better players in U18 school tournaments.

People used to bang on about how bad we were as a "development club". Our identification and scouting was 10x worse in my opinion.

If the Warriors could land NAS on the cheap, I think it’d be a solid pickup. Sure, his discipline can be a problem at times, but his size and presence in the middle can’t be ignored.
That said, I don’t think another big body is what we’re crying out for right now.
As you all know, what this team really needs are wingers with genuine speed and flair, guys who can create something out of nothing and finish off the hard work the forwards are already putting in.
And probabaly a centre who doesn't get injuired.

Reports we’re interested in Davvy Moale would indicate we’re interested in a middle forward
