Boyd wouldn't have been my first pick for a new recruit but he is probably an upgrade on our present halves. He can kick in general play and kick goals and play 21 games a season.
As for Jones and Johnson improving him? Not sure I'd let either of them near him. It's hard to soar like an eagle if you're being taught to fly by turkeys.
Maybe a bit harsh on Stacey but I have a long memory and neither of them have been without serious issues over their careers
What were the serious issues for Stacey? Sure he came back & played a season he shouldn’t have, but no big deal.

@kos asked me on here a couple of months back what I thought of Tannah- don’t know if he knew something…
My response was along the lines of- he should try hooker or super league :ROFLMAO:.
I must admit though since then, the more I looked at what we would be looking for and who was a realistic target, I had a feeling that we might well land on him so I’m not surprised by this signing and for some reason that I can’t really put into words I just have a gut feeling that he could turn out to be a good fit.
Super league would’ve been the easy option so for him to opt to move to nz and keep chasing them dream- I respect that.
He’s gonna be a man on a mission and there is an opportunity here if he can seize it.
At worst he’s experienced back up, at best he reaches his potential here (he was a highly touted junior) and establishes himself.
welcome aboard Tanwah.
Just want to add to my previous comment re Tanah last night, he is a pretty good gamble as far as potential 'flourishes with his second-team not his first' guys go, strong pedigree being a Keebra/Aus Schoolboys junior goes, along with a historically good junior development club in Brisbane (as much as it pains me to say), he had plenty of opportunities here with the Titans, but you COULD argue (I wouldn't) that his chances were disjointed behind coaching changes/poor general team performances etc, and that now in his mid-twenties he may flourish under less pressure to be the guy to steer the Titans around the park and just slot into a more comfortable role as a depth/spot starter type of hooker/half, and may just need the change of scenery anyway.

I still think he doesn't have what it takes to be THAT guy, certainly not a potential James Maloney from Melbourne signing for the Warriors, but I think he may be someone that finds his way into your 17 and provides some value in a reduced/more clearly defined role.

Now then... since you've stolen our two best players in Erin Clark and Tanah Boyd you should give us Rocco Berry or something pls

Also, for those asking... no, I have no idea how we scored 60 on you this season, in fact, i'm still coming to grips with it myself, it hasn't sunk in yet, and as a collective, the other 11 Titans fans feel the exact same way rest assured.

We look forward to facing you at our next home game in Robina.

NRL.com signings tracker are reporting the Tanah Boyd signing as a development contract (not top 30) which I'd feel a lot better about

Wonder what that means for Hanson, as I believe he had development contact guaranteed into the second year of his contract (2025).
Surely that’s wrong, why would he come here on dev. Think it’s likely he could be starting with metcalf

I know hope your right lol
We also don't know the background of his titans exit. They could've said we're going to pay you out in full to fuck off. "X player requests release" is often bullshit, usually its driven from the club.

And Warriors on a development contract, where there's the least halves depth, probably looks like a more attractive proposition than heading Super League in terms of reviving your career. It only takes a few injuries and he's in the mix again.

Interesting all this talk around Jordan Riki. There was a rumour on here about Nikora so perhaps we are in for a second rower? Hard to say with Laban and Halasima looking sharp but if we shifted Niukore and Ford to front row, it could be plausible? That instagram footage certainly only shows Warriors players now and due to arrive with Riki added
where is the link

Can you even be on a development contract if you have played as many games as he has? I’m almost certain that’s a mistake 😂

Maybe but there’s no restrictions like that.

It’s just salary cap language where players are only entitled to 80k per year (plus you used to not be able to play until round 10)
