Garry Tuilekutu played Flegg for us last year, then 1 NSW Cup earlier this season but is now set to start on the Wing for Wynnum Manly in the Q Cup playoffs.​

To anyone that's watch him often, is he a potential first grader?​

No I didn’t think so he didn’t standout as much as Norris has this year. But he’s walk straight into Wynnum starting lineup. Wynnum also have Ben Farr and Toni Tupounia from last year’s Cup team, Cassius Cowley as well from last year’s Flegg team.

I feel like I’m the only one on this forum not stressed about letting Crosby go. He’s an inexperienced, bench prop with limited league experience. Given the context of our youth coming through & older props reaching the end of their careers, we need to use the cap to bring in NRL ready & experienced middles, not take a punt of someone like Crosby imo. I see the potential but he doesn’t fit our current model

Crosby isn't a loss at his current level right now but definitely has potential to be a great player with that work ethic, speed and fitness. Pretty gutted to see him go tbh.

Agreed but if panthers are offering a top 30, and ours is almost maxed out, can we use a spot on his potential?

If he goes to Penrith I would say he has a very high chance of kicking on and becoming that potential.

Which is great.

We could offer him a million dollars at a future point to come home on compassionate grounds like the Fish is getting a mil.

I should have been an economist for the Govt, save 250k to spend one million. Brilliant.

I guess we have to back our recruitment and coaching team on this one, Crosby has an amazing highlight reel considering his short RL career. But potentially they feel he is not ticking every box at this point (perhaps defensively), and have others they are more confident in. His lack of increased minutes (although has stepped up the last 2 weeks, we are middle light throughout the club atm) and not getting a start in NSW Cup probably backs that up.

We must have cash to spend, we have no star player getting $1 milly like majority of clubs - Perhaps they are looking at spending some cash on a Moale who is the same age but has 3 years of NRL under the belt.

TBH, I would love to keep him. X factor potential, and if we can keep him on a development deal he's a no brainer. Even on Ale's contract I'd be happy to hold him.

I rate Seu Salalilo and Tuipolotu Vaea over him currently outside our Top 30 as well.
NSW Cup team is probably going to be a lot poorer with all our depth signing elsewhere though.

Crosby will be a big lost he has a lot of upside. But he wasn’t on a train & trial or a development contract so free to leave. They chose Salalilo over him who is 2 years younger and playing the same role in the Cup team

We look at our roster 3 years ahead of time. If we see more potential in others then that's where our focus will be.

Having said that there's nothing official in regards to our development list for next season other than Jett being on it so hard to say who exactly we're tagging for bigger things.
