I think you go Egan. Not that JFH is a bad choice, but Egan will be going into his 6th season with us (third of that as VC), and he has been through the highs and lows with the current team.

He will also be playing 20-40 minutes more than Fish, and capt. challenge wise, he will almost always be around the ball

Not sure of captain as an individual but a leadership group is in place between Egan, Barnett and JFH being the only 3 signed into the 2027 season

I get t that but also his head injurys! He can be a leader without the C. I wouldn't mind it at all if he could stay on the park.

Be interesting to know how long this injury has been with him. This season has seen a remarkable drop off in his effectiveness, though his work rate was still high.

Hopefully he can come back rested and better next season.
Around the Manly game was when I first heard about a hand issue. Unsure if it pre dates that or not.

Playing in the NRL with no fuss when your hand is essentially soup, he's an all time Warrior.

Tohu and Manners are cut from the same cloth, nothing but respect for what both of them have done for the jersey.

Surely he medically retires so we can go for NAS or someone.

He has been a total legend and wrecked his body doing extra work on the field for all the lazy mfers he’s played with at the warriors.

I'm torn. From a Warriors stand point any more money to spend on younger players will be massive for us next year, but if he's booked in for surgery, surely the rest of his body heals well over the next 8 months and he comes back fit and healthy for one last year?
Also can't see him missing Vegas.

Also, I'd be pretty gutted for Tohu's time under us end prematurely, and on a low note given he's such a Warrior. I was extremely gutted to see Steve Price finish up under an injury cloud where he never got back on to the field. Really hope that's not how it ends for Tohu

So who allowed it to carry on for so long without properly resting it?

Everyone celebrating; excuse me if I'm pissed. Hes been playing injured for 12 fucking weeks?! Who the fuck allowed that to happen? We have gone 3-8 in that period.

We needed a fit Tohu THIS year, not next. He'll be 33 next year

Add SJ playing injured, and it looks like CNK was as well, and you start to see a pattern emerge here and it doesn't reflect well on AW, the next man up and the wider squad.

Should have been the perfect opportunity to blood some youth and speed.
Added enthusiasm wouldn't be a bad thing either.
Getting too late now unfortunately
