I hope they move him on this month, say Boyd gets injured and he takes the reign again, how the heck do the players follow him around the park? And we'll instantly be clunky for a few weeks again probably lose most, talk about derailing the season lol. Also the workplace will be uncomfortable for those involved, players officials, admins who made it happen. TMM showed he can fill in very well and he's still in the team, he's the perfect cheap, talented and experienced first drop depth

Intercepts, support play, corner tackles and kick conversions but no 1:1 side steps, breaking the line, try assists, skip passes or short grubbers ….. you’d think he was an outside back looking at those highlights

He did throw that gangster pass to Ali for the try against the roosters in R3 I think, a set play try for Kosi vs Cows, and a few bombs to Leka, clutch 40m, 50m goal kicks, and dropsy against drag. But ya it's a problem when I can name them individually over half a season I lost count on Boyd's try assists already, that kick try assist to Leka at the death was pretty good

Humphreys about to sign and sexton locked up. Perth don’t want Metcalf, however as of about 3 months ago they were interested in Burton, but not at the cash he wanted. There’s more legs in Burton to Perth than LM. Burton on 1m at dogs and was wanting 1.2+ to go to Perth. This may have changed since I asked about this months ago however lol

I honestly think they have a impressive junior system of props and 2nd rowers so with keon also coming in i don't think they'll be looking for anymore forwards. Would also give them some speed, as i think statistically they score the least off of a linebreak out of every NRL team. Keeps gutho at fullback, as he is the same as CNK. Old, slow, sucks at center but can organize a team defensively well. Only other spot i think the dragons would be hunting for is a hooker now that cook is going to leave. But that is a dire market at the moment, just ask the bulldogs

Some good comments there. Dragons make the most sense but Luke will not win a premiership there in the next few years so I guess we will see how much money means to him.

If you are in our position running 2nd on the table no coach in their right mind is massaging a young half(Cleary) into grade at halfback. TMM will 110% be the back up halfback for 2026 if Metcalf doesn't return.

What happens next year is a different kettle of fish as TMM is off contract this year, but depending on how things unfold they likely sign him for another year to bridge the gap with Metcalf gone while the young halfs develop further.
