The “line speed” bullshit just doesn’t work against the better teams.

If JFH is out, Bunty needs to start against Haas and Carrigan.

Bunty made a big difference today. If he keeps that up he is good at absorbing big men in the middle defensively.
Also Vaimauga has to keep getting good minutes, and we need plays around Leka.
Better effort second half but a bit artificial without Hughes and them lacking a full team.

I hate Melbourne. But I have to give it to them. That was a professional display from a professional club. Until we can play like that game after game after game we're dreaming if we think we're premier contenders

Couldn't crack 50 and lost the 2nd half, pfft they're dreaming.

We couldn't contain any of the offloads in the first half, storm blows us away.

Second half with the young boys we actually looked ok. Can we please make sure they come on early or start 1-2 of them.

I agree with whoever said it on game day thread. When we attacking in their half, Taine to first receiver and Metcalf second. He also needs to run more, he's always dangerous, got to keep them second guessing.

As one famous coach said "Flush the dunny and move on."

Teams like the Storm are unforgiving and punish every fuck up. This was just that.

The centre switch is not a great idea against a team like the Storm. They are too methodical and ruthless.

They are a good side and it is good to watch what they can do at speed. Or how fast they can move the ball through the hands.

The pain today was how everything was coming off in the first half.

Tuaupiki goes for an intercept and they can catch it at speed and burst up field.

Even goal kicks that hit the post rebound in.

Our pack is too slow and we can't handle the speed and the ball moving around.

With The Storm at home who get away with blue murder, we were always going to get thrashed.

Meh, look at the team sheets and the score line shouldn’t surprise you.
Just a couple things we need to fix up and that’s Ruck speed and offloads and players In motion.

Metcalf’s not a 7 and no hate to Charnze but he should go super league now.
Metcalf to fullback and Either Martin or Boyd into the halves

I think they should at least think about this - would like to see Halasima being given good earlier ball on the edge from TMM or Boyd ... idk ... I don't think we were terrible today, the storm plus hughes were just very good

Jerome Hughes is just fucking incredible.

We aren’t horrendous. We try hard and don’t give up. We’ve got backbone and I think the ram is unified. Tane Tuapiki would do well at fullback but I don’t think we need wholesale changes…

We can’t wear teams like the storm down with their huge forwards.

Plus how long have the Storm been together as a unit? Dam Katoa has been there 3 fm years now.

Sure getting the top players is important but we have to give our top side games to gel

Hope Webby takes a good hard look at who performed well in that game and who didn’t .

Also we need more a more expansive mindset and train how to turn and offload in the forwards. Storm showed us the rewards from doing it at will

Losing JFH early didn't help.

Metcalf's try saving tackle was undone by a professional foul. After the head high crackdown I was expecting our first sin bin to be from a high tackle. Especially trying to contain a fast team. Thought it would be from a lazy arm trying to stop a break.
