I'm not disagree that it should be given a send off or at least a sin bin. But i cannot think of an example of when a head clash ever has. But i can think of loads that have not. Victory radley a couple of weeks ago (https://www.theage.com.au/sport/nrl...o-sanction-victor-radley-20260504-p5zthi.html). One that left walsh with a broken face diden't even get a penalty (https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...y/news-story/4ee628e69e91eb017afe604e12a5a637).

Like it seems insane to me to rule differently on it now. But then again this is the NRL where rules seem to change depending on the ref.
Especially when the bunkers telling the ref who was 20 meters behind the play it's not a send off, potentially 10 in the bin. But old Mash-ley potatoe wasn't having any of it. I know we harp on about the inconsistency from the officials & the bunker but we're all doomed if they themselves can't agree.

Maybe they could look at implementing the yellow card review to red card like in Rugby.

Takes the emotion out of it, and gives more time for the TMO to review and come up with a good conclusion.

On the game, thought it was not really at the standard origin should be. Maroons were dominating a lot of that game and really only lost due to the send off and being short on numbers.

Thought Capewah was immense, such a tough footy player.

This is the point though.

The ruleset is vague in a lot of these places and it's done this way by design.

I'm not sure how refs are supposed to come to unanimous decisions when the NRL itself refuses to take a stance on anything.
