Madge is a gun coach at rep level. Doesn't seem to work well with dross players or know how to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
His niche is rep football and should never coach NRL level again. He can coach the Kangaroos next. Then England - just bounce around as the gun rep football coach
FMD that Luaia and Best try was exhillerating. Must be right up there for all time great origin tries.

How many NSW players have made their Origin debut in a decider at Suncorp( or whatever it’s called now) and won.
Not many.
If any until yesterday.

Excellent game yesterday. I like in SOO that the officials let things go because it turns into everything rugby should be. Fast, physical, tough. There was no real "dirty" play and there were no stupid penalties and sin bins for nothing incidents (melee aside) like accidental high tackles.

Great game to watch. And the blues won too 🥳

Can someone explain why
1 Jake is picked
2 Why he is captain

Sure he s a good solid player. But I dont get it - there is better players that could have taken his spot.
Plus he is captain but only plays short minutes.
A man who is respected by all, even his opponents!

That Walsh vs Edwards stat is interesting.

It was interesting viewing the two of them during the games. The commentators light up whenever Walsh gets the ball. Then they get quiet when he misses an assignment on defences. Whereas, Edwards is everywhere and does all of the little things. He's supporting, in the right place for kick returns, does the tough runs.

Game 2 there were quite a few incidents similar to the Grand Final where Walsh wasn't chasing through hard enough to cover for breaks that led to tries. Even that one part where Luai took 30 seconds to put on his boot. The defence should have been set and NSW still managed to kick through and score with Walsh barely there to cover.

Game 3 he was doing a lot of work in the front line. Then needed to run back into position. The tries he was in the picture but wasn't really committed.

Edwards isn't as flashy but he's everywhere.

The lead up to game 2 made me laugh.

Maguire was sticking up for his player with the "glass houses" comment. Also stirring a bit.

Tallis' argument was no one would even know if Madge was on the field. Slater would get targeted like Walsh. A few minutes later when they were talking about Slaters judiciary record. Tallis it's not about playing careers its about their coaching.

Walsh is only flashy when on attack.. His defence is ordinary at best.

Lol is that the same ref you were complaining isn't letting NSW win?
That's how good Mighty NSW 💙 blues were. Klein did his best to keep QLD Morons in it but even he wasn't going to send off a Blues player for the second time in the series.

LOL check for a possible penalty try.... How blatant can he be?
