I thought Teddy had a great game really. Few bad misses early on but came back pretty solid
There are loads of picks that are awful in the NSW team but i don't think teddy is one of them. Though i only slightly lean his way over edwards for an origin style match. But on that same note, i'm glad strange is getting his flowers. Love that defensive rock, nuggety six. Him and young had an awesome game.

Queensland cocked it up when they had the Hammer clear on the left and threw a forward pass. That could have been the game ender.

I’m not sure on the sending off. Pongia looked like he was trying to shoulder the ball carrier but missed and hit with his head instead. I can see why the ref sent him off tbh

I really enjoyed it. I thought Capewah was awesome until he moved to centre. Barnett was pretty good too.

I thought Ponga shoulder charged him in the head and there was also a head clash so the send off was fair enough, unless you subscribe to the notion that SoO should be reffed differently.
I'm not disagree that it should be given a send off or at least a sin bin. But i cannot think of an example of when a head clash ever has. But i can think of loads that have not. Victory radley a couple of weeks ago (https://www.theage.com.au/sport/nrl...o-sanction-victor-radley-20260504-p5zthi.html). One that left walsh with a broken face diden't even get a penalty (https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...y/news-story/4ee628e69e91eb017afe604e12a5a637).

Like it seems insane to me to rule differently on it now. But then again this is the NRL where rules seem to change depending on the ref.

The bunker who clearly have 100 more views telling him its a sin bin max, and he goes main character energy as is custom.

What an absolute muppet 😂
I feel like the fool messes something up every series. Defs got compromising pics of someone at nrl hq to keep getting appointed lol.

Just a few observations

1. NSW were poor even with the extra man and possession. But took what advantages they got and won.

2. Thought Teddy was as bad as he was good.

3. Capewell was great. Even at centre he was great. Simply his assignment was impossible but he still applied himself.

4. Qld were impatient once they got their early dominance.

5. Having the current eligibility makes for irrelevant national anthem singing. Unless you sing Tonga, Samoa, NZ, Fiji and England as well.

QLD the better team and the ref made sure the series goes to the decider lol, the guy was falling and you can argue Ponga was making a tackle in these type of games.

I think he did use shoulder but his other hand never "wrapped" but was in the area. But Koula failed his HIA and got hit in the head which in this day and age of CTE, onset early dementia and MND isn't a good look.

He did not, hence the bunker said it was a sin bin. But the on field ref decided to go against the bunker and make it a send off. I'm pretty sure the bunker would of had enough angles to agree with a send off but they did not.

I agree that it was a sin bin. But I'm not 100% against his sending off. Just that it again made Mr. Look at me the centre of tomorrow's news.
