Pick Your Team Redcliffe Dolphins v NZ Warriors - [Round 8, 2026]

Watched Herbie Farnsworth tear the Panthers apart who have got to stop him, Pompey or Ali hmm don’t know about Lekas reads also, I might be over stressing about nothing, well I hope so. No Kodi helps us there a little.

It's too early for freakouts. :ROFLMAO:

Could be wrong but I think RTS would be marking him if we name an unchanged lineup. Given how he dealt with Warbrick, I think he is more than capable of handling the assignment. Nikorima out is big for them- their slide last year coincided with him dropping out of their side. The Darwin heat + the extra time from last week will likely mean they will struggle towards the back end of this game. So if we play to our strengths, we should get them at the end of 80 minutes.

yeah, always seems like a massive gamble playing in darwin for the recovery it would require in the following week... brutal

Jeeze are you new here? 🤣

Haha no, while I cant argue with most what you said, deffo worried about Herbie. One of the star, tackle and line breaking centres in the game.

The last game he played against us he didnt even last 20 minutes and had a try, 120 running meters, 3 line breaks and 5 tackle breaks lol.

Centre has been a weak point for us for soooo long too, so im a bit weary. He could be the difference between the 2 teams.

the previous game at Suncorp we shut him down pretty well playing Capewell at center haha. It's all about defensive urgency and that game at MSS last year we were going with CNK at center which we all know now is a defensive recipe for disaster. I think the center pairing we have with RTS/Ali will do the job. As always, the battle is won up front and if we win that, we shut down the opportunities that their creative backline has. In my assessment of this game, we have the clear edge up front. They are also going to have disruptions in their backline with Nikorima out- Averillo probably moves from center to play five eighth. So I can see their attack being quite clunky in this game.

The thing that makes me nervous is actually the occasion. As we all know, we are known to shit the bed on Anzac Day. Last year we turned up to pump the Knights though, so hopefully that is a start to us actually making the occasion count!

I am quite nervous about Perth coming in. I remember one year we played the Bunnies at midnight NZT.
Surely it'd be easiest to make us the magic game fixture or the one game per year they need to play in sydney for the original bear supporter base. Otherwise we should only play em on friday nights when they come to nz. So that its during normal working hours for their fans.

haven't we signed an agreement giving one of our home games to the magic round weekend? So I don't think there's a way to get around playing them away. If we have to play them in Perth, Cam really needs to insist upon the first game on a super Saturday or Sunday.

Some metcalf red flags.

Cronulla played him on the wing.
When you're the only back reserve on a 4 man bench & the starting Winger goes off for an HIA this tends to happen. Beauty of a try there from him. What was the alternative though? Trindall to the Wing?
