I've said that CNK looks cooked for the fullback role. Put him in centre or as stop gap 6. Other than that, I'm happy to let him go.
Correct me if I'm wrong, he's off contract end of year?
I re watched the Replacements on the weekend. In the movie, there is a scene where the coach asks "What do you fear on the field?"
When they get to a serios answer Keaunu Reeves character says "Quicksand"
Basically, making a mistake or a bad decision and trying to rectify it and things get worse and worse as the game gets on and you struggle to get out of it.
Some of that could be applied to this game. We struggled in the middle at the start, and couldn't defend the first raid into our 20 so we got behind. The middle struggles make it harder for our halves who outsides and guys start pushing passes etc.
The coaching probably had the same issue. The changes made before kick-off didn't work out. A good argument could be made they kept the starters on too long. A lot was made of the quick surface. Getting some replacements on earlier could have helped halt the Raiders momentum.
To be honest, replacing an experienced half like Johnson we could see a bit of this. I like listening to Matty Johns and Cooper Cronk break down halve and game management will often mention noticing how much energy your team is exerting or when they are struggling and finding a way to give them a rest or spending some sets getting back into the contest.

Sure we scored two points more but we also conceded 10 more points. Yes, yesterday was bad but it was more the side was struggling and the same side kept scoring. A few of the tries like the intercept is one of those things or the CNK bomb knock on which is something you don't often see. Most weeks it probably would have hit the attackers hand instead of leg and been a double knock-on.
That Eels game I remember our defence getting run-ragged with tries coming at a quicker rate (haven't compared). It was 7 tries vs the Raiders 5.

What a disaster! Webby's deep-seated need to be liked seems to be clouding his judgement and rendering him unable to make tough calls. At the same time, he's locked in a conservative rut with no capacity for deep reflection or re-invention. Meanwhile, some of the players were reported to be out beyond midnight on match eve and Agar's alleged behaviour has put Cameron George in an unenviable position. The Warriors 'brand' may be flying, but how long will Robbo and Cam put up with the boring style of footy Webster has instilled. With the SG Ball team heading for the spoon, and recent recruitment decisions from Cappy questionable, what all seemed so bright and full of promise just 18 months ago, now feels like it has completely derailed. Again.
Robbie your takes always prove prophetic. You were right about Nathan Brown for example from day one. Should we persevere with Webster? Will he come good? What is your take on him? Does he have it?
Not doubting you but where is this reported? Want to read as some of our players played like they were out all night. In saying that I have known some guys who been out all night before a game and played 80 minutes and just smashed it.

WARRIORS FALL FOR SIN CITY
Teams can go looking for reasons why they lost a game, but the Warriors shouldn’t have to dig too deep.
The Tackle witnessed a couple of things during the week that had us concerned.
On Tuesday night (local time), a group of six Warriors players were gambling on the casino floor past 9pm.
We’re not suggesting they were breaking rules or doing anything illegal, but it was a strange look during a game prep.
On match eve, another group of players attended the Kevin Hart show at Resorts World, which didn’t finish until midnight.
The Warriors were the last team to arrive in the US, touching down last Saturday, and might not have got Vegas fever out of their system early enough.
Their performance was disappointing given the huge Wahs contingent in the crowd, which was probably the biggest supporter base.
