PD will less important this year I think, the officials have obviously been told to manage the games to get as many close results as possible. Other than the Storm no one has really blown out to a massive F/A.

Whilst I agree winning is everything, I would be nice to have a buffer if it comes down to 4th place vs 5 or god forbid 8th vs 9.

Demi was sooooo damn good tonight. What an exciting prospect to have alongside Leka.

I see someone posted they take off their garmin during Warriors games.....mine credits the heart rate spikes to intensity workout minutes 🤣

Blocker ruined the game for me, the bunnies were the best team according to him.
Fu@k I hate him as a commentator,
His player calls were rubbish and his other call's ie. Knock ones or forward passes he got wrong .
Just finished watching the replay and Blocker was fucking awful! Every doubt or 50/50 call was the Rabbitohs way. "Oh I think he's knocked that on" but gets ruled a legitimate try. Ahhhhh farkkkkkup...

Having rewatched the game, I think this was one of our better performances all year despite the recurring heart attack. I think we started off a bit flat, but that was to be expected given the brutality of the Raiders game last week. Canberra also started flat last night against the Chooks. That game really took it out of both teams. But when we warmed into the game, we did demonstrate that we are superior to Souths. Latrell was the only reason this looked close. Having said that, 7 tries to 5 should have made for a more convincing scoreline if Luke had kicked a few more of his goals.

On the negative side, yes, we leaked 30 pts. But we've shown all year that we can defend well, so the real takeaway was that we actually have points in us. 7 tries and 36pts. With better kicking, we'd have put 40+ on Souths, a team that coming into this game was in the top 5 defensively. Erin's fast ptbs and powerful runs from our back five really set the scene for Wade to come back to his 2023 form. LM feeding Marata damaging lines on the edge on the front foot. Demi and Leka's footwork and late offload troubling the defensive line. Was also great to finally see some fine attacking shape starting to emerge with 2 wingers who can finish. RTS coming back to the form we were expecting last year: 3 tries in 2 games now and 170ish meters in this game.

On the improve note, we need to manage our interchanges better. We do struggle when Erin comes off around the middle of the second half, which is when teams tend to make a late run against us. Also, it looked like we were pushing Marata to prop when Leka came on. Marata played almost the full 80 yesterday which I don't really like because he really doesn't have Ford's motor. He is damaging in limited, controlled spells like Royce Hunt at Wests or Talakai at the Sharks. That's how I prefer we use him. Probably was a result from Barney's injury though.

During COVID mate and I played golf behind KP and his old man, Andre weekly.

He is a humble kid, not an ego, easy to talk too and well mannered.

Kept stirring him up to play for AB’s or if not the Warriors every week.

Andre was onboard, KP just shook his head and smoked his next shot. Amazing golfer.
CNK can't keep getting banged up forever. Kalyn Ponga will be a great substitute for the 27 season..

And how many tries would not have NOT happen had the offside rule been imposed on the bunnies that intercepted, they were so offside on the edge.. I fully expected it to be called back ... also if DWZ was a better defender in the line ..least couple of those tries wouldn't have happen from Mr 200

Rules question for @Ref or anyone who may know.

When are defenders allowed to move forward at a play the ball? In Touch Rugby its when the dummyhalf is in the act of picking up the ball, is it the same in League or is it when the ball carrier is in the act of rolling the ball with his foot, or when the ball is first placed on the ground?

In the Johnstone intercept which there were multiple calls of him being offside. The freeze frame showed at the time of the ball being placed on the ground to be rolled with the foot, Johnstone had one foot on the touch line (which i thought made him onside) and was when he started moving off the line.
With the ball being played only a metre or so from the line shortens the distance for the defence, so can become an easy intercept if a winger rushes straight into that passing lane between his opposite and the centre......which for an experienced winger like Johnstone he did (incidently if Luke had better periphials the chip in behind was on for all money with Johnstone being up so high) so the only question really is when is a defender allowed to move off the line, which ive never really known and judging by a lot of the comments from posters after an incident like this, not many do.

I saw them walk forwards a number of times quite blatantly, gaining quite a few metres in the process before playing the ball
