Rabbitohs vs Warriors - [Round 13, 2025]
GAME DAY
Sunday 1st June 4pm NZST
Accor Stadium, Sydney

Warriors v Rabbitohs 498.webp

Welcome to your NZWF game day thread for todays clash.

This thread will be locked following the final whistle with or without warning. Discussion will then be shifted to the POST MATCH thread.

UP THE WAHS!!!

This is the game in 2023 that the Wahs woke from our slumber to start putting points on teams.

We've focused on D up until now and rightly so, as we sit in the top 4 but it's now time to put the foot on the accelerator.

Set the platform upfront, dominate through the middle and unleash our young guys about the 30 minutes mark.

Wahs by plenty. Year of the ambush baby!

We have fish & mitch back don't know how many minutes mitch will play but warriors have the better side

Latrell will be playing apparently.

Doesn't bother me.

Not going to make any crazy assumption and I disagree that we need to change how we are playing.

Stick to the plan and we win the game.

Let’s just forget that little downer from last week and get back on the road …You Can Do It ..Go my team.👍🏻❤️👏🏻

Let's prove the Aussies wrong by getting back on track today. The haters across the Tasman have been waiting for months for us to lose and now that we did last week, they are using it to call us a "false economy" and are now tipping us to continue losing our way out of the four. Let's show them that we aren't going anywhere this year.

Latrell or no Latrell matters not. We have the better side across the board. Their form is also illusory- this side other than Latrell was essentially the same one that got towelled up by Newcastle on magic round. They barely beat the Broncos and Tigers in subsequent rounds. Last night showed how out of sorts both those teams have been. Whereas our only loss in 2 months came in a top 4 clash against arguably the best forward pack in the comp where we gave them no quarter without our two co-captains and starting props. There's no question who the real pretender is coming into this game.

They'll try to beat us at our own game by challenging us to a grindfest because they don't have the pts to beat us on the edges. We have to accept that challenge and intimidate them through the middle rather than trying to go around them like we tried to last week. Unlucky for them, our pack is made of much sterner stuff than the Broncs or the Tigers. With both JFH and Barney back, I'd argue that our pack is the next best after Canberra. So we're not getting bullied today. Koloamatangi isn't running for 300m against us like he did against the tigers. Own the middle first and starve Latrell of any space to do any magic.

I'll go Wahs 1-12 but am hoping for a breakout game this week. It's been building.

Let's be pragmatic, the Warriors are at full strength, are a form team and know how to grind out wins.
Latrell is only one player we have beaten better teams this year.
Warriors could really come of age today.
