Probably the biggest tell of a teams form is points conceded - we’ve only had 72 points scored against us in 5 rounds, the joint fewest, tied with Storm and Sharks who have both had a bye.

This is probably the most promising stat, conceding 14 points a game is a hallmark of a team that should go deep into the finals.
That is a pretty good stat for a club with our hisotry. I know the other two had the bye. But also remember the Storm vs Warriors was a high scoring game. That is half of both teams points in one game.

If you exclude Melbourne, 42 points in 4 games against quality opposition. Solid.

I get the sense that the lad has some unresolved anger management issues and they're getting worse. He might need to do a CHT and take a break, but I doubt anyone around him will be giving him that message. He just seems in a bit of dark place.
Agree, noticed one of our boys did something to him in a tackle (nothin too bad - holding him back o something) I think that's what set him off and he sort of lashed out at SJ, needs to suck it up - wahzstruk!!!!

I like how groundhog day kicks in the 2nd half had the commentators laughing

Thought RTS was wasted on the wing, he could have competed for those left sided kicks that don’t reach Monty, and get more touches, don’t we have options on the wing?

Pompey was pretty good almost stepped his way to a try

Like others said Barney too slow on d causing issues on the right edge early? Capewah will fix that, they need to keep converted props propping since they’re slower now ie Barney, Marata, Laban is ready

AFB looking more comfortable now

Egan was a beast, still concerning to see him tackling props with his head, and please don’t pick him for NSW, we need him for the playoffs. CHT looks more likely to copy the way he plays, maybe due to size and quick hands? We need to have a hooker who can replicate Wade’s plays when he is not playing

Ford’s a try scoring machine now, the official podcasters were talking him up as co-leading try scorer this week lol

Tohu’s clean up works were so crucial, saved a try at least

Ale’s really strong today, hope he grows into it he’ll get Bunty’s spot for a month+ now

Laban was very good, no drop balls and some strong runs, maybe he should take Jazz’s spot if Walker is not right, keep Tohu at 13 all game

Jazz showing he’s inconsistent again, probably use him as depth only now?

I like how they fixed up the edge defense after halftime coaching

TMM, the commentators said the exact same thing forumers were saying lol, invisibility ran 85+m and scored a try 😂 It was so good to see the spine players celebrating after combining like that, twice

Wished TMM didn’t just kick the ball out towards the end, the boys on the right looked keen for a 40:4 scoreline and camped on the attacking end

Great post. He is the team leader. He does all our strategising and team talks. Someone else posted here last week that Shaun and Webster are tight and spend time talking together on strategies and getting on the same page each week.
Rumours and different comments lead me to believe Nathan Brown and SJ had a dysfunctional relationship. After SJ won a game one day with a game winning field goal in extra time, Nathan Brown criticised the kick and wouldn't give Shaun any credit and said it was a poorly struck kick (even though it went over).
So good for everybody to have Andrew Webster in charge. Everybody's favourite Australian of all time. The under arm bowl game is finally forgiven because you have given us Webster !!!!
Agree, in the presser Webby shut down talk of eagan playing for the kiwi's - dam!!! - was hoping???

The ominous thing about that Warriors attack is how Egan opened up the middle and our two halfs ran through with our fullback in support.
Daniel Anderson era shit.
A middle bust out caused by having too many wide threats for Souths to just compress their line and shut down the middle third second phase.

Might be the type of D other teams developed for us this year (saw DWZ getting the ball out wide and had nowhere to run at times) and Egan was able to exploit the rushed sliding D?

If we keep performing the way we have been, you have to believe that for the first time in a long time we may have some players missing during the origin period. Egan's form is too good to ignore. Maybe he is too much of a risk due to the concussions however from a NSW perspective. Barney must also be in contention for a potential bench spot.
