The referee was outstanding today.
I thought so during the game.
And no one is hating on him now.
He has the face of a criminal that bloke but he’s pretty good and fair, the less well known the ref the less match fixey they are, keep giving us the no names NRL.

Lattrell was just trying to get himself suspended without actually hurting anyone, hearts not in it, didn’t want to be out there.

Hopefully Roger on the wing was a one off, it worked out all good but not ideal.

shit egans good on a dry track.

According to Roger in his interview the game was in the balance for the first 25 minutes and Shaun took over and started barking at the team "We are feeling the heat and the pain but so are they. Complete our sets. Dig deep and they will crack."
Shaun won us this match. In a team of stars he is the brains of our operation.

It's not how you start, it's how you finish. At least that's what my missus tells me.

Leadership and captaincy are two different things.

It's a pleasure to observe SJ the leader, the man, the force, the respect his team members have for him.

Great post. He is the team leader. He does all our strategising and team talks. Someone else posted here last week that Shaun and Webster are tight and spend time talking together on strategies and getting on the same page each week.
Rumours and different comments lead me to believe Nathan Brown and SJ had a dysfunctional relationship. After SJ won a game one day with a game winning field goal in extra time, Nathan Brown criticised the kick and wouldn't give Shaun any credit and said it was a poorly struck kick (even though it went over).
So good for everybody to have Andrew Webster in charge. Everybody's favourite Australian of all time. The under arm bowl game is finally forgiven because you have given us Webster !!!!

What a great win. Some great tries. Real statement

And why was Mitchell only put on report for the elbow, the referee must have been the only person in the ground who didn’t see that as a straight red
AND backed it up by lifting tohu over the horizontal and kneeing him in the face on the way down.

on report AGAIN?! you gotta be fucking kidding me.

give that grub an early shower.
he needs it.

Probably the biggest tell of a teams form is points conceded - we’ve only had 72 points scored against us in 5 rounds, the joint fewest, tied with Storm and Sharks who have both had a bye.

This is probably the most promising stat, conceding 14 points a game is a hallmark of a team that should go deep into the finals.
