That first try to SJ I have replayed several times just watching the deception from Egan to put CNK through the gap. Its like a very good magic trick and watching it back again and again to pick up the slight of hand.

It was slick and it was so good it was made to look very easy.
If you look closely, even Tohu was confused, he thought he was getting it. Pretty to watch.

That's the one thing wrong with this current team - there's no easy scapegoat. Bring back the good old days of having go-to excuses when we lost, I was particularly fond of blaming Kata and/or Bam Libone.
You forgot Konrad (white line fever) Hurrell

That GI wannabe is a bully and a coward but I honestly don’t think he means to be, he’s impulsive and reckless and needs to get help. And I hope he does, all that work he does for his people and youth etc is fine but they’re still watching him on the field acting a fool. I don’t wish him any harm on him but he’s gotta take responsibility for his actions and his attitude, there’s a scared little boy underneath that exterior and it needs to be addressed. I honestly don’t think he wants to play anymore, he’s just cashing in now. Get some help Latrell….cmon bro, walk away from the game for a bit at least and be the real inspiration you have in you inherently.
True, he's better than that.

If Te Maire keeps this play up poor old Luke ain't getting back in when he is fit ahead of TMM.
I am trying to remember when we had multiple spine players pushing up together....don't think I have ever seen all four...the hooker, Halfback, Stand off and Fullback push through the middle third like they are now under Webster (ok so it was just one week, but they will try it again, maybe not this week, but it will start to become a thing).

Closest thing would be under Anderson, when players kept turning up to catch the second phase, but that is not the same as all four spine players getting involved.

I prefer seeing SJ and TMM with CNK at the back finishing off middle third breaks, rather than Websters plan to have Roger come into the middle in a Roving role.

Hopefully we won't need Roger to come in, hopefully he can stay out on the edge holding up the opposition three quarter line, keeping them honest while the little men do a Stacey Jones and cut right through the middle of the park looking for an offload or a pass.

Roger is better utilized in such a way that he spends all his time learning how to set up a Winger on an overlap. Otherwise if he is going to the middle often, you risk duplication with CNK already doing those Dummy half scoots.

Also to be frank, Roger was never the best support player of breaks, nor was CNK, which is why CNK doing it against the Rabbits should see him retain that role now.
I thought we maybe geared our game for a potential wet weather up the guts slug. Hence not a lot of edge plays this week. Also smart to do with the new edge combos. But yeah 100% porn watching the spine like that.

But it wouldn't be a Warriors forum if there wasn't at least one player to bitch about. Decades ago, one poster tried to blame a loss that didn't happen on a player, Manu, who was injured and not even playing. Actually, I wonder how Facepalm is doing these days.... haven't seen him on here for years.
The old face facts- he was a frustrating poster to debate with because he was just so positive he was right all the time- wouldn't budge an inch- he did have a good footy brain though tbh- I actually enjoyed a lot of his input (secretly....)
Had a good eye for talent but if he put a line through someone's name there was no coming back.

Ive replayed it too and seeing it in the context of how much time Egan seems to have is quite admirable. I've been slow to sing his praises because of his propensity to get injured but to join the throngs of knew it alls, Egan is awesome. Egan is awesome combined with SJ CNK and TMM. What's Egan's middle name or can his mother get divorced and remarried to a new bloke whose surname begins with W, E or O B so Egan and become something like WWE, WEE, WOE or WBE. Then the triple initial spine will be unstoppable.

Was good to see us playing direct and straight. Hopefully we can get a few others back this week and keep building and improving. Manly will be a good test for us I think. One thing I do like is our attack looked like it was starting to get in to gear and we have multiple scoring options and plays we can lay on. Can't believe it's round 6 already.

Im not expert enough to say more than a lot of things and people are coming together nicely. Pick and stick ironed out Fordys wrinkles. Montoya not scoring tries is fine while he runs with purpose to get sets started with the other outside backs.

CNK is rock solid and such an important cog in the machine (no disrespect to fullback's 2 and 3.

Roger might be the superstar this year because he does non flashy also a cog in the machine centre work.

I love that we have Roger and SJ again and that neither of them are burdened with carrying our team. Quite emotional thinking about that actually.

Agreed and the key to unlock the attack is Egan. Hopefully he remains fit

It's all in the eyes from Egan, the front on angle is the one which shows the true magic.

David Blaine could never...

Also something to note. Crowd for game was just ovrr 13k. Fairly low turnout but very much due to train tracks at stadium were flooded so closed. Other nearby train lines were also closed or under heavy traffic. Most ppl at the game would have had to come by private transport, ride share or buses. Suspect many fans who had planned to make the journey only realised how bad access to the stadium via trains was too late.
Yep that was me, was tossing up wether to go or not but tried to go out earlier in the day and the trains were a nightmare
