Chanel's pass was not forward - that was a try. But then so was milky's, so they canceled each other out. Was an excellent game. I thought the ref was consistent. We took them to the end. We matched them. Just needed a bit of luck to go our way. We don't need to beat them until the finals.

I wonder why Healey only got a 10 minute stint before going off? Giving Vaimauga a second spell & also giving Fatialofa a crack instead of using 2 interchanges to take Egan off then back on would've been the go with the help of hindsight

You do have to wonder why we forced Fatialofa to backflip if we are still reluctant to use him

Leka is better off the bench attacking a fatigued defensive line with Demetric. That one two punch can be deadly

Great to see Rocco back in cup. We won’t be a force with Pompey as our centre unfortunately. I also think jye linnane could be a Smokey to come into the line up at centre, he’s a game breaking quick outside back, one to keep an eye on in cup. Swap marata with Barnett, and Laban/leka/demetric with capes, & that’s one hell of a side. I feel like Tanner has jumped Demetric just quietly.

Yeah I agree. Demi has the better highlights and with ball playing, you look a bit more impressive but Tanner is the next James Fisher-Harris imo.

Regarding the centre issues, if we had Linane have a final 10 games of the year like Fletcher Sharpe did last year, well win the comp with how well were going. Its essentially our last big part of the puzzle now Taine's looking great at the back.

No doubt about it Pompey is too slow - which handicaps the attack (and defence), still a good, experienced footballer - perhaps back row forward now more suited?

Once again another game proving we have the best middle in the comp. Each one outside of niukore doing some big meters. Even saw demetric cover some edge defense during some scrambles. Thought egan also had a immense game, he really helped us steam down the field when we had any momentum. Making sure to take some markers out, or getting the best selection to pass to a player going into a hole. When others look great you know the hooker is doing a good job.

On the otherside i don't see how this game proves we are set to go deep into finals or anything. Felt like our centers actively kill any momentum when they get the ball. Either in attacking momentum or just gaining meters with slow play the balls. The difference in who the panthers are missing but will get back vs us is an insane. Cleary, Yeo, Kenny and To’o vs Capes and Barney. Losing TB was always going to be massive. But at least we have TMM or metcalf. Losing RTS, the downgrade is massive. AKP is no longer a weapon being used because we don't have a center who can use him. Nor do we have a fast enough center to cover when he jams.

But then again on the flip side, no team should want to peak now. You want to be getting better as the year goes on leading upto finals. So hopfully this left edge finds some attack and defense. While TMM and CHT increase their kicking game. I think it's possible.

Laban near the line think he will just hang onto the ball on the last play soon as he was tackled throw it back doesn't matter what direction WAHs player right their .

Or, He throws it and they pick it up , run 100 to score. Multiple scenarios can happen in a situation like that.
