We lacked killer instinct.

We lacked the ability to nail our assignments and moments when they came.

We lacked composure.

Those things though. We got by playing this game the way it was played.

We have just logged an absolute gift lesson for our team. Review it and get the gold that awaits you.
I don’t really accept this. Warriors got over the line more, just denied more tries.
If anything we missed a long kicker. That would have denied them nearly all of their chances they scored from. There’s no way they would have made up the metres

I love our team - but when you know you have them shot with short interchange passing and running halves, plus second rowers - why go away from that ? my only other complaint was the slight lack of organisation on the later tackles in the set ... other than that a mighty effort really - personnel wise I don't know where you go to from here... there's something missing (a long kicking game or just more gumption to run ? Usual suspects : Linnane, Metcalf, Fatilofa?) Penrith were lucky to win that and had the luck engineered for them at times, but the actual difference were bad defensive reads at crucial times... imagine what sort of chaos would've broken out if we got out to a double figure lead ... why didn't Laban just roll that ball out to an unmarked AKP??
If you watch again akp runs an inside line, Laban has to second guess offload right around himself

This loss was a lot better than our other two earlier this year. Both in terms of the scoreline and also the performance.

The boys will be gutted as they were so close. They will take confidence from that game and will also be motivated.

A shame we aren't playing next week. They would have likely taken out on some poor team.

This gives the coaching team some areas to clean up when the standard of opposition improves.

Why are people hating on Pompey. He was alright. In my opinion we lost because we bombed our tries & our attack looked clunky. CHT had an easy pass to get us add & ran. Happened twice from memory. Tuaupiki bombed a loose ball. Ref didn’t help. On a different day we win. To loose our half back mid season & still look good, we should be proud.

Great game to watch & we'll be much better for it.
I wonder why Healey only got a 10 minute stint before going off? Giving Vaimauga a second spell & also giving Fatialofa a crack instead of using 2 interchanges to take Egan off then back on would've been the go with the help of hindsight

We played our hearts out and the refs were heavily against us in this game but we did some stupid stuff at crucial moment. We could have won this 13+.

Obviously Pompey has to go. We won't win anything with him at centre. Takes the line on every single time, even with there are 3 players on him and AKP is outside in space. And he is too slow to take advantage of any half gaps. I've never been so frustrated with a player in my life and I can't imagine how AKP feels playing outside him.

That game was there for the taking but there are positives to take out of it. We need to fine tune some things and make a couple of crucial lineup changes and we can win the premiership.
Its a weird one because we cant drop him now, but remember last season he set RTS up a lot, he needs to get back to last years performances.

Im okay with him for now.

I was thinking the same thing aye! Why not just bring him on before half time to mix it up?

We could almost make Healey 18th man and play Egan for 90 with cover?

Have another forward on the bench.

Incredible game, that could very well be a GF preview….hard not to be disappointed with losing but not at all disappointed with the lads

Top shelf game by the two best teams in the comp hands down

Panthers had to empty the tank, they uncharacteristically started playing jungle ball, gotta give it to both teams

Can’t wait to play them again
