UP THE WAHS!!!

Huge opportunity to draw a 4 pt gap on 3rd and cement ourselves in the top 2. Big opportunity/last opportunity for Wayde to stake his claim on origin with the Brailey injury. Hope we don't focus on the outs for them today. That updated team sheet for Penrith is looking eerily similar to the one that ambushed us at MSS last year when we were similarly flying high.

Psyching myself up today by rewatching the magic round miracle of 2024:

Hey Whanau/Family hope everyone has a nice Sunday build up lined up.

Last night during the Roosters Storm coverage, Warren Smith the lead commentator gave a run down of today's games. His delivery was along the lines of blah blah plays blah blah, followed by blah blah....Then the BIG ONE.....one V two.....the Warriors vs Penrith.

Hats off to the Warriors, Admin, Coaches, players, fans. We all did this, elevated this once poor club to the phenom that runs out tonight.

Usually it is during a Warriors game that the commentator will do that, call another game as The Big One, and it can feel a bit disrespectful. Who would have imagined that hyping of a Warriors game would happen in the middle of a Roosters Storm clash at prime time Aus schedule?

A lot to gain tonight and very little to lose. We are not the best team in the NRL, they are. So what...who cares, being the contender in a title fight carries it's own Mana.

If we win, things will go silly, this is our year and all that carry on, oh man I would love us to win, but it isn't the all and end all. This could be a three fight series with the Panthers, if both teams held form they will be in the Grand final (I ain't looking ahead here, just observing you want to win the last game, not the round Robin games).

Hopefully we threaten them though eh, every time we play, hopefully come years end they no longer sit apart from the rest as a team that fears no one.

Im actually serious this time! We are going to get annihilated! We have no chance!!!!!
I couldn't commit the regulation lol emote this time sorry bro.

I hope not. Coz it could happen eh. We could have some unfair injuries and we won't have the officials favor tonight.

It could all go horribly wrong. Dam I hope not....I think we will be ok but. No other reason than a feeling.

Been wet in Sydney all week but perfect auckland like conditions at kick off. 17 degrees and fine.

As usual, this will be won by the alpha forward pack. Penrith is THE defensive system and it’s up to us to make sure we are at the same level or better. Errors to a minimum high completion rate, good kick chase no cheap six against or penalties.

We can definitely win this and if we do, we cement top 2 for the foreseeable future. A win going into the bye would be 7 on the bounce.

If I was Webby - I’d be treating this like a week 1 finals match for top 4.. A great simulation for finals later in the year. Win and through to a prelim final.

We need to go to another level this week and I just want to see us play to our potential and best football against the best club over the past 10 years…

Regardless who is in their team, we cannot mentally clock off.

Wahs 12 under in a great battle

Does anyone know who the no 17 is for NSW cup - it's blank on nrl.com. What do you think the chances are of Kayliss debuting today?

Thanks bro, I forgot to ask about the Weather. That is good news, we are a dry track side with that pace on the left, although we go alright in the wet with Tuaupiki out of dummy half.

I much prefer a night game when it is a big one, and away game is also more exciting if we win.

I hope our backline can get the ball to our two Wingers man. I am not worried about the forwards, they cancel each other out.

Nah honestly! I think we can beat them. I think the Broncos and Storm games as a blueprint should do us good.
