It's all well and good playing behind the best pack in your competition, but he'll just be another scapegoat if thrust into first grade with our currently underperforming pack.
It's his first year of Cup, plenty of time to keep developing, no need to send him up.
The other issue is the adjustment to a new side/level, Cleary took a few rounds to stop looking crap, and we have run out of season to experiment.

There have been comments over the years about Warriors teams being quiet.

I've commented the last few years that being at the NSW Cup games there seems to be quite a lot of talk on the field. To get a head start on the way out of the ground we left the grandstand and made our way around the field. Spend the last few minutes behind the goal posts watching the Warriors defend their line.

A lot of talk moving their team mates into position. Both sides of the ball.

Who was playing in jersey 22?

I'll ask here due to the confusion with Hanson who played today but isn't listed on the NSW Cup site.

He came on and played some dummy half. He had some good service, passing off the ground or close to it. I think Tafua has some promise but that is one thing he probably needs to work on.

Besides the bullet pass to Cleary's chest. There was less confusion between Tafua and Cleary compared to the last game I was at.

Did Taine get injured?
Hip drop tackle early in the match from Wiremu Greig.

Ended up on the bike for a bit trying to work it out but ended up ruled out for the match. Was iced up and limping around on the side line late in the first half.

Suspect he went to get looked at as I didn't seem him at the end of the first half.

There is a video posted a few pages back of the incident. Someone responded to me as I asked similar to yourself, what happened.

Commentator was saying Auloa, but who knows?

My observations.
I liked the work of Taufua at dummy half. The forward pack rampaged forward as a unit and gave front foot ball to the halves all day. It was a picnic out there for Cleary and Hanson.
Sio Kali is the best winger at the club.
Has the speed and X factor we want
Obviously being managed and not rushed into first grade.
Fatialofa is the other obvious top quality first grader in waiting.
He’s not being asked to be a match winner but being trained to be a better football player so when he hits first grade he will light it up.

Tuipulotu Vea is a big unit with potential.
Crosby is a strong runner still learning the nuances of what to do
Seu Salalilo, you can see why he’s well regarded too.

Just caught a replay, thought the Eels were pretty impotent on both sides of the ball, our boys looked to be in cruise control. Luke 'Caleb Laman' Hansen was great on return from injury, I actually think he'd go OK at 6 in FG if given an opportunity.

MOTM was the Eels’ no.6 – unreal (fan voted)

If Tanah tanks today, I’d go all in on Jett next weekend. He can’t do any worse, and if he’s good enough, he’s old enough. The kid’s lifted at every higher level he’s played, especially with decent forwards and quality players around him.

Stronger in defence, kicking game on par, and he offers way more in attack – probes the line, isn’t afraid to switch play on the last. Otherwise, it’s just the same old: hit up, hit up, hit up, uncontested bomb… rinse and repeat.
Any half would look amazing behind this forward pack.

It’s why so many people thought we wouldn’t loose much by replacing Metcalf with Boyd despite Boyd failing in almost every NRL opportunity he’s had.

Jett’s improvement has been great to watch though. I think by 2027 he could really be knocking on the door.

Hanson looked incredible today. We need to make sure he’s on the roster next year some way. Does he play fullback in NSW cup next year to accomodate all our halves?

My son during the NRL game "Is tuaupiki injured and not playing today?"

Me "You saw him today, he was on the deck when we arrived at the game, I showed you a video. He was also about 20 metres from you on the bike, then limping around"

Son "That was him?"

I probably should have mentioned who it was. But I do laugh sometimes as they are sitting there watching the game, or they come along for a drink and some chips.

Hanson has show the benefit of more time at this grade. When I first started watching him he was helping with the organisation and a few kicks. Now looking dangerous.

Some of these guys are quite young and have been playing NSW Cup but are also young enough to go down a grade.

Cleary is looking better even from when I saw him in Albany. It was him yelling everyone to pack for the try and halftime. Also vocal at the end telling the ref the Eels player was held up. He will get better with more time at this grade.

Last game I was at Kali was doing most of his best work on the far side. He was pretty close in the first half. Did a good run down his side. He moves well. Think a good pre season will help, fill him out a bit.

Crosby looks to be playing longer minutes. He was a handful to get on the ground.
