In his month of first grade, we struggled to put the Tigers away late, the scoreboard flattered us, Leka bailed him out against the Knights, then we lost to the last-placed Titans at home and the Dolphins.

His kicking game looked average compared to the time and space he gets in NSW Cup. I think we were treading water with him in the top grade. TMM once guided the Cowboys to a GF alongside Morgan — sure, that was a lifetime ago, but he’s got more experience for these back-end-of-season games.

I’m glad Webby made that call, and also backed TT last weekend.
