Fatialofa was good but I thought he looked smaller than a lot of the other forwards. That might impact his ability to step up in grade.
We have an annoying habit of producing our tough mobile explosive guys half a foot too short.

Which means they have to bulk up, they lose speed, and you end up with a different lesser player.

This guy though, he can get away with his lack of height if they leave him smaller, leave him mobile, and just wait a bit longer with his blooding so he is well up for it...like Jazz.

I thought Ali was good in his one on one tackling but in the defensive line he has a tendency to wait back unless the ball is close which means you don't have a straight line as everyone outside him stays with him. He is fast so can get up quick if the ball comes back his way but that might not work in grade. Has so much speed and power , so if he can get the effort sorted could be anything.

Good observation, that tendency permeates his whole game and the coaches have noticed he is a hanger offer.

And yeah he was much better today. Good to see him trying again.

That's really poor that for a second time we have 3 games in a row at Mt Smart and only 2 are being televised. The NSW Cup team are on the verge of history, hope they make a late decision to show it. The cameras are there!
