General NSW Cup 2025

No Ale and MTG?
On the bright side it's a good chance for Tanner to step up & push for 1st grade or a contract extension. He's just turned 21 this month, Listed at 186cm 95kgs
May have more upside then Ale in the coming years

Good to see Kali and Amituanai but I wonder what's up with Moimoi? On development for the last few years, only played a few flegg games I think in the past 3 seasons.

Injured his knee(?) In Round 1 of Flegg last year after playing in the Preseason Challenge. Maybe some complications in his recovery.
The year prior we didn't have a Flegg side but he played 5 NSW Cup & all 9 SG Ball games

I would imagine it's an easy swap for Bunty Afoa, I would still be fighting to keep Ale.

M Barnett

D Vaimauga
T Ale
T S Smith

Handy props right there.

There’s a photo on the clubs IG story today of him leaping to catch a bomb, while training with first grade side (i think it’s him?) so can’t be too far away

I think I read on this forum somewhere he was super quick, I do remember watching him play center in cup years ago when he was young but if he's catching bombs one could assume he's coming back as a winger

Could well be, he threw a great long pass to his winger in that trial a year ago, which could be wasted on the wing.

Regardless, we need to see what he looks like post-injury. This long out of the game he could look like entirely different player. ACL is usually 9 months so he should've been ready to go round 1.

I suspect he'll play alternate between Flegg and NSW cup this year once fit. He's no real chance of first grade this year.
