Inruin's Round 4 Tipping Match Up Snapshots

Rabbitohs v Panthers

The Bunnies were outclassed by the Sharks last week away from home after starting the season with two late wins. Penrith actually looked better against the Storm without Cleary last week, and he misses this match with HIA protocols. This will be a good indication of the Panthers depth and life without three of their big spine guns from the previous 4 premiership years.
Panthers 1-12

Roosters v Titans
Roosters were probably a little unlucky away to the Warriors last weekend and no Connor Watson this week is a big out for them. Titans got the win against a very poor Knights performance and also have their gun fullback Kini out. Titans still look shaky and the Chooks back at home
Roosters 1-12

Dolphins v Broncos
The Dolphins started well but ultimately fell to a Tigers side who ran in four tries after the 22nd minute mark and kept the home team scoreless from that time on too. Broncos had a jittery moment against the Cowboys but ultimately were too good. It’s a Broncos ‘Away’ game but they’ll keep the Dolphins searching for their first win of the season for another week I think, on the back of Reynolds kicking game in the forecasted wet weather
Broncos 1-12

Dragons v Storm
Dragons are hard to beat at Jubilee stadium and have David Klemmer lining up for his first game for the red V. Storm have a number of outs, including the main man Jahrome Hughes, and Papenhuyzen in some doubt. This will be a closer game perhaps than the odds suggest but hard to tip against the Storm
Storm 1-12

Cowboys v Raiders
An improved performance from the Cowboys last week but still looked uncommitted at times. Raiders got a bit of a touch up from Manly but the damage was mainly done with Horse in the bin. They did a lot of tackling in that game and it’s their second trip away in a row, so fatigue becomes a big factor. I’m expecting Ricky to work his magic though and get the Raiders home in a tight one in Townsville.
Raiders 1-12

Sharks v Dogs
Sharks are building nicely and are at Shark Park once again. Dogs held on last week against an improved Eels side and without Burton and Kikau look a very different team. Sharks forward pack and bench the difference and should be in control for most of the match.
Sharks 1-12

Sea Eagles v Eels
Manly ran in 7 tries last weekend against the Raiders, with Greedy Garrick getting 4 of them. Some distracting DCE noise during the week doesn’t help. The Eels looked improved and showed some good attitude against a weakened Bulldogs side. 4 Pines Park and Turbo back don’t make this an easy outing for them though.
Sea Eagles 13+

Tigers v Warriors
Tigers finished well away to the Dolphins last week and are certainly on the improve after previous spoon seasons. Warriors at home last Friday ground down a slightly unlucky Roosters side and have some shuffled positions with RTS out. This will be an interesting game at Campbelltown and could easily go either way. May come down to how Webster covers for the loss of Dylan Walker in the 14 jersey.
Warriors 1-12

If I went with my own tips I reckon I'd still be in single digits 😂
Yeah mate Every year forever tipping is difficult in the early rounds.
For an interest each week I try to pick 2 teams and have a $50 all up on the TAB.
Got 2 out of 3 so far but not big returns. Last week turned $50 into $85 so a small profit.
This week's games are very small margins so no value so I might stay out
Still a few days to go though.

I randomly decided before R1 that I'd go with Gus Gould's tips each week on his Six Tackles With Gus podcast, though he doesn't tip on Bulldogs game so that's my only call to actually make each week 😅

Only four behind top spot, seems to be kinda sorta OK thus far hah!

Early days mate and its always easier to pick after the game! ;)

Great that you are taking part in the tipping comp. How you choose to do them is up to you and its just a bit of friendly forum fun after all. A mate I know just does all home games each week which statistically isn't a bad option.

Good luck for this round.

Yeah forum tipping a bit of fun.

TAB tipping I generally stay away from results bets, much prefer my ridiculous 4-5 try multis that rarely come through so I'm less emotional about a result 😅 Although Roosters beating Panthers the other week was a rare win including the result (cos 11.00 odds was just ridiculous hah!).

Speaking of upsets, Gus has tipped Dragons to tip over the Storm, just for those interested ;)

I think he has taken the Tigers to beat us as well...

As an interest I have now taken Storm and Roosters for $50 to double my stake

Heaps of Aussie "Experts" tipping the Tigers.
Obviously very spooked by RTS being out - and how we cover for no DW no mo'.
I watched their Thrive or Survive doco, looks like Bunji's toughening them up physically and mentally, you'll have to be a very good team to beat them this year. They all say that on these pre-season camps though, until you get punched in the face as Webby says.

Souths have had a pretty good run. Two struggling teams before they ran into the Sharks last week.

This would have been a big test. Instead they play the Panthers without a few key players.

Cleary has missed quite a few games the last few years. It looks like it is getting a step too far to cover for him at the moment.

Could be proven wrong still a lot of time to go.
