Random observation, but why do journalists give try scoring stats when reporting on signings? "Sharks have signed Addin Fonua-Blake; Fonua-Blake has scored 17 trys across 200 games" or whatever. Makes no sense to me.

It's the written version of the Milestone Video Montages the Warriors would show when Simon Mannering would reach a 50-game milestone. They'd show his tries, some of which were admittedly pretty good, but it was tackles we all loved him for. And most of those were mostly stock standard 2nd man, some good 1st man ones, too. But it doesn't make for a sexy MVM...

Newbies are so expensive sounds like they really need 5 years to flush it out and rebalance their team eh

They'll need to pay freight on Suli. No one is giving him what he's on ATM. Kolo on $1 million looks like a mistake long term, I can see that long contract hurting them in a couple years when Stewart, the Couchmen and Egan are all demanding good money.

Watson will be 14 off the bench, Liddle is a gun hooker when he's on the park. Fully fit it's a dangerous team. Glass cannons defence wise you would suspect though. Nice to see them not fucking around, like Perth and the Eels. Looks like they are both tanking for draft picks ATM.
