NRL NRL 2025 General Recruitment Thread

NZWarriors.com

A certain Warriors coach is an IM Client, apparantly - or at least is signed with an agent who works at Cove Agency, which IM owns/runs...

To be fair to all the other agents who work at Cove Agency, I don't think any of them are showing Apprentice Following Master signs ie effing clubs around like IM is doing.

Or at least, it's not been reported.

Anyone know of any other agent who has a reputation for screwing clubs/players up?

Webster is not managed by Moses, that was Hooper mentioning it a couple times last year on 360. If you read comments direct from our owner, he is managed by himself. We don't deal with Moses after the Lodge fiasco.

This is getting quite ugly in Tiger town.

Whilst i get Luai and Turuva, not sure if posting that publicly is the correct way to go about it. Afterall, just last year, both chose money over continuing their careers at Panthers.

Some big NRL recruitment news this year already with the knights desperate move for Dylan Brown, the DCE final season at Manly, the Fogarty stuff and now Galvin. The halves market has gone nuts.

Everyone has there back up at Moses, and certainly there will be truth in that. But, let's be real, this is also being driven by the parents. Just like Ponga's parents got him out of NQL, Suali'is parents got him out of Souths as a junior. Yes, Moses clips the ticket but you are silly if you don't think the parents are also seeing cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching.

I don't understand this argument that is floating around.

Luai and Turuva were forced out after sustained success due to the salary cap.

Galvin has been offered a tripling of salary and security in a 5 year deal - and refused to even open the envelope.

Didn't Galvin also say he wanted a better halves mentor & coach? That Benji doesn't tick those boxes ? Benji Marshall one of the greatest kiwi 6s of all time! Lol.

I said he was overrated and not worth a Mil. Not yet anyway...And I'll stick by that. 27 games into his career & hes been hailed as the next coming of christ by the rugby league world. And believing his own hype.

Moses is the puppeteer. He manages this kid. Rumours he has signed with the Eels, His Nephew Mitch is the 7 & The Coach who he also manages.
Moses is a cancer to the NRL organisation.

What a terrible manager. Can you imagine what this 19 year old has to now go through. It will be like torture, your mate s hate you, your coach goes off of you, then social media attacks you! That manager has screwed that kid up, for what? Money? If he wanted a different team don't speak smack about the coach. Disgusting from the manager, he should have guided all this better, seems he tried to throw shade at Benji and now its coming back at the kid.

If- for arguments sake- his priority really is developing as a half- you’d be going to Melbourne wouldn’t you? Bellamy has by far the best record for developing 7s.
Would mean Hughes moving on though.
If only there was a club out there who could afford to make a massive play for Hughes this could all fall into place…
Melbourne already have Pezet and then Wishart, with Munster at 6. There's no way I can see Craig Bellamy paying $1m for a 27 game rookie. I doubt Moses the manager would want him taking massive unders at Melbourne either. However I'd love Jahrome too, is it just me or is he becoming more and more injury prone?

Galvins dad is a fuckwit and is 100% behind this. I get "living his dream through his son" vibes. One of the headlines was "Galvin and his father explain.." If you are old enough to die in war, you dont need your daddy holding your hand in the media.

he should be able to get to his free agency and choose not to play for the tigers, they are a known basket case after all.

but, all those talk should happen towards the end of next season when he's actually off contract, they've got to do something about all this back channelling and tampering, 100% he has the same or bigger contract coming from the Eels or Dogs, eventually the tigers will run out of spite and want to use his money and squad spot on someone else and he'll get what he wants this offseason.

Only benefit for tigers to release him would be the top 30 spot because he’s only on about $250k. The calibre of the next contract could see some bargaining power. Tigers floated a DCE swap for him

That's a win win, Tigers will get DCE rental for the year, which will grow them and give them a year of good leadership and Manly will get the best shot at auditioning for a long term contract for Galvin. Manly are not doing much without Tommy T, and need to find a different dynamic where they can play with or without Turbo. Galvin could help and bring a freshness to their team. Tigers will become toxic if Galvin stays as they island boys like Benji and are offended by the rumours about their coach. It was floated that Tigers should get a list of clubs who Galvin wants to go to and try and do a deal, so they at least get something for him. Why not, seems like its unsustainable to keep Galvin when there is that much animosity from the players.

Only concern I would have as a manly fan if they got Galvin would be Brooks at 7, which never worked with him at tigers. Was interesting the other Andrew Webster-journalist saying he reckons tigers make a play for Reynolds. They’ve got choices with Luai doing alright at halfback whether they go for another solid five eighth, or shift Luai back to five eighth and go for a solid halfback. Latu Fainu looks like a solid prospect too
