Rapidly pivoting here....

Ok....truth is we were never much of a chance of winning the competition this year.

Our realistic best case scenario would have seen us go deep into the finals then get smashed as soon as we ran into the like of the Storm or Panthers reloaded or having to beat one too many of say a Raiders and Sharks finals draw back to back.... you feel me....

So this need not derail the best case scenario for this year at all.

Think about it, the team consolidates from here, keeps doing what it has been doing which is basically sharing the work load and being honest toilers.

Big challenges ahead now but hey lets be brutally honest....what do we have to lose?

Yeah I agree with you. At most with Barney we had a slim chance to potentially upset one of the other T4 teams on their bad days but it’s clear as rain the difference in talent and firepower between us and let’s say the Dogs or Storm and even panthers. I think this all but ends our premiership chances this year, but hopefully we continue to build on what we have going this year and retool for next year. Barney might not even play next year and have him rested for 2027.

Yep.

Minimum 6 months out.
Then rehab for ages.
Then a test of the ACL which apparantly 90%+ of players fail (I recall Nathaniel Roache talking about this test, not sure if failure is a good sign or bad sign for the ACL's future, actually!) so that makes rehab a month longer.
So it's No Mitch Which Is A Bitch until at best Pre-Season 2026 Part 1 ie November...

All the above coming from someone who's never had/treated that kind of injury, just going from what I've read/heard, talk to a specialist before taking anything as The Truth...:)
Poor bastard. That sucks on so many levels.

It’s interesting that no one since has tried the Luke Covell surgery. Barnett would be back before the playoffs with it.
This sucks but as long as Fish stays healthy we can overcome it
In all honesty Barney has been head and shoulders above Fish so far. Fish needs to ante up now with probably Marata who will fill the Leota type role Ford to play 60 after he comes on 1st drop the Demi, Bunty and whoever covering 20 to 40 mins.
Farkkk

Wow, Luke Covell. Played for the sardines as I recall, on the wing?

The Undertaker posted it before... "We play for Mitch." I like this (y):) He played similar to Steve Price, a Leader of Men leading by example. It's a fu(k^n Hard life Rugby League and I/We wish 'em All The Very VERY Best!

Rehab ASAP Barney, we're climbing to #2.

All Arms, you're up.
