Bloody sad news.Absolute devastation. ACL at 31 is not a great outlook.
AbsolutelyIs this a season ending injury?
Yep.Is this a season ending injury?
Can the Warrior sue whichever media company was the first to shout the "Warriors Free From Injury!" thing? When I heard we were injury free last week I cringed!
Kane Williamson anyone? Nothing will stop this guy coming back. He is now an assistant coach for the rest of the season. Time for the young boys to step up.Yep.
Minimum 6 months out.
Then rehab for ages.
Then a test of the ACL which apparantly 90%+ of players fail (I recall Nathaniel Roache talking about this test, not sure if failure is a good sign or bad sign for the ACL's future, actually!) so that makes rehab a month longer.
So it's No Mitch Which Is A Bitch until at best Pre-Season 2026 Part 1 ie November...
All the above coming from someone who's never had/treated that kind of injury, just going from what I've read/heard, talk to a specialist before taking anything as The Truth...![]()
Absolutely devastating. For both Mitch who just earned his starting spot for NSW. But also the Warriors who lost one of there most important players.
As ratshit/ruthless as it is. An ACL at 31 isn’t good. He still has 2 years with us. (End 2027 I believe)
Do we start looking for a replacement? A semi/permanent replacement.
(I would never want him to be pushed out btw) But if he can get a big money extension elsewhere from start 2027 onwards. Let him make that money. (Before people at me, I actually suggested this a couple months ago. Not kicking him while he’s down)
Yeah it’s not looking good. Probably need to shut him down during the 2026 season too. Earliest I can see him coming back is 2027. I think we need to be aggressive at making a play for Haas. This is absolutely terrible news on so many fronts.
Even from a cold business stand point, it’s much different than Tohu. Mitch is in absolute career best form. Him taking an early retirement doesn’t really help as he can’t really be replaced.
You’d bet on him to return, but it’s such a long time at that age and no guarantees of a return or even the same player.
Absolutely fucked. Is this Ale’s moment?
My thoughts exactly brother.FARK!
I’m thinking more 2027 pre season. Have him rest entire 2026. No point rushing him back and having him potentially reinjure again. ACL at his age is no joke.Yep.
