That was just unfortuante on that Capewell break.

At first i was wondering why he was on the wing then i remembered their policy is for the edge backrowers shifting to to the wing on early hit ups.
Roger had done the hit up in the middle of the park from which they spread the ball to Capewell so he was pretty much out of the play, then it required quick hands from both Chanel and Pompey to get it to Capewell who were both checked/tackled after passing which took them out of the frame tbh.....,.to be fair i honestly didnt think Capewell could run like that.....it was almost comical.

It might be unfair on CNK who plays a totally different game but a Walsh, Kini, or Weekes fullback are sniffing around most carries....im sure u wouldve seen one of them latch on that,
Back to players in motion. If we have players in motion a number of players arr their to back up Capewell who is no speedster. The closest player was 15 metres behind. That play pissed me off the most in that game. Other teams make a break and they 4 or so players their

I think you’ve got to look at the performance in the context that we’ve comfortably overachieved this year. This is basically a rebuilding year where we are transitioning from the 2023 team into a team that can contend.

EIT, Healey, Halasima, TSS, Vaimauga and Laban are all 22 and under, five of them were playing last night. They’ll be better for this season going forward. The backs are a fairway further back in terms of development but theres some good prospects there and i’d expect the likes of Linnane and Kali to get a taste next year.

It was an error ridden performance but they didnt want for effort. Very unlikely to win next week but we’ve managed unlikely playoff runs in 2008 and 2011 before.

Healey has to be in 14 jersey next year!

If he can cover Clark also, then thats enough to carry him surely.

Well tell me who you you would have. Harper defensively is superior to others. Attack wise he has also stepped up and proved he is a possibility. Don’t know if you have been watching his games but I can’t see who you would be putting ahead of him. FYI - I have watched every nrl and naw cup game

Or Taine to FB and CNK to centre. That’s prob more like it
Personally I’d go with Halasima, the problem with that tho is Charnze doesn’t pass. Maybe some early cut out passes if our halves are capable of that. And there’s no way Harper should be picked ahead of MGT and Kali for a centre spot. Uou can’t just look at stats, especially cup

Have you even watched MGT in cup lately? Kali has been good tho. Reads a bit off but he is here next year so would probs be a better bet. Yes stats aren’t everything - but I watch every game so still stick with my point. Kali tho - would you want to blood him more in finals?

I'd love to know how you factor in losing a Kangaroos prop, Dally M leading halfback and Walkers marriage falling apart into recruitment and coaching?
Righto. I understand the tone of your enquiry and I'll give it a shot.

Kangaroos prop goes down.

Preseason build his quads, hammies, calves, and shins to support his knees a bit more resiliently.

Work on lateral movement speed which has been thrashed out as a topic here.

Train the backups like who we have had come through to build the mental resilience to keep the team traction and momentum.

Reduce the matches played per season for said Kangaroos prop.

I'll have a shot at the rest after smoko
