yep we need perspective. even the bookies have us the longest shot by quite a margin to win the comp at $61 from within the top 8. It was $58 when we had a chance of making the top 4. I think the top 4 for the club has been overly exaggerated, would have got us an additional game in the finals series.

This what I wana see in this game and the next. If Webbys kick to the corners an pin them down their end aint working change the game plan.
Not with 10 min to go an we too buggerd to do it. We can stilk shake this shit up but we cant do it doing the same thing against much more superior kickers. The grind has turned into a turkey shoot with one out running an no support.

Manly beat a woeful Dragons last week who still managed to score 24 themselves.
I wouldn’t swap any of their forwards for ours and that includes Marata whose effort is willing but execution needs more.
We’re overdue for a cricket score.
Taine in particular and Kalani will add flair.
Taine will provide back up to line breaks.
As a former fullback myself that was a core role.
Our bench can run amok.
We need second phase, off loads and runners hitting gaps.
We are good at spoiling special occasions which is ironic because we can’t ice any of our own.
I may be over confident/delusional. It’s a fine line.

I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you. Tbh I'm rapped with how we've gone this year.

We lost our two best players - our best forward and best back this year and we've not been able to compete at that level since. There's no shame in that, most teams who lose their best players would struggle like that. Look at both Roosters and Eels with Sam Walker and Moses back, they've beat a few top teams and imo would be pushing top 6/top 4 potentially.

I'm stoked that we've been able to build though, one of the commentators mentioned that at the beginning of this year a few of our young guys had 14 games between them (Leka, Demi and maybe Laban) and with the emergence of the new players including TSS and EIT, were over 90 games now which is going to be huge for us moving forward.

Of course, we're all disappointed with the way our year has progressed as we've been on the decline instead of improving, however I'm stoked to got where we have. I like to think that with Metcalf and Barney we would have iced 2 more games minimum, so even though we're 6th I still consider this a top 4 year

Makes you think about inserting Boyd replacing Metcalf, halted the momentum as he finds his way, maybe TMM who guided the team last year would have continued the rhythm

But Boyd looks better now and we shouldn’t have that huge dip next year if Luke gets injured, Boyd will be seamless just less awesome. Maybe that’s why Webby’s kept playing him even when he was sore since doesn’t want to invest the time to gel for a new playmaker

After last night, I just hope we get through injury free..

Rather have a fit healthy team going into week 1, than a choice of who we play .. losing Mets and Barney showed us all that... the banked wins in the early rounds got us home...

Anyway go hard boys.... let's gone..

I want to see our pack bring the heat and really aim up tonight. On paper, they’ve got the size and power to match it with this mob—we just need that aggression. Time to let the comp know we’re no marshmallows, even without Barney.
