Here we go again, people imagining scenarios in their heads when we lose 😂
Sad for us Warriors fans that Luke has another injury.
People have short memories that he was the form half of the comp until injured last year.
We didnt lose many games with him playing & lost a lot more than we won without him.
Feel sorry for him that he probably will never ever get back to his best again.
True Warriors fans wouldnt be putting the boot in . Sympathies to Luke

Seems like many people think like Donald Trump..

Did anyone else notice in the pre-match footage in the sheds, Boyd tried to walk past Metcalf and Metcalf gave him the dirtiest look? He can F off back to Aussie if that’s the arrogant attitude he has. It’s no surprise that Tanah looked great when Metcalf went off.
I noticed that too. Gave Boyd a dirty look but then when Clarke walked past he got a big smile and a laugh.
There's no doubt Metcalf is a bit salty for not getting the number 7 Jersey back on return from injury.
Probably feels like a demotion for him, just like if any of us had a period of time off work and we come back to find someone else is doing our role and we have to do something else we don't want to do.

You could always get in contact with them and ask them?

If we’re ever to win a premiership in the close future it will be on the back of Metcalf playing at his best, along with a couple outside back signings.
Every team needs that clutch X factor player and he’s ours. I think this is the risk we’re just gonna have to take.

Need to see how bad this hammy is first tho.

Or we can just get the cht, Boyd combo back together and put Metcalf at fullback
Two appearances by Metcalf; two bad results for team. he looks to have lost bulk. CHT must come back in to restore another decent kicking half.

People say that but NO team EVER brings their star player back via nsw cup. People would have been baying for Webbys blood had he done that- hindsight is a wonderful thing
Sam walker did spend a game in NSW grade before backing up to full grade. To which he got a thumb injury and had to wait another couple of weeks before going directly back to first grade.

So i guess it does happen. And will be a case by case thing. Personally i think its not a fittness thing and its more of a chemestry thing. Walker and DCE looked fucking awful against us, and they had a full pre-season to train but are now looking good. But then again i think a lot of people discredit how good CHT is, and i really want to see him back at 6 as i personally see both metcalf and boyd as genuine sevens. But CHT is a top tier six.

Have we made a mistake in re-signing Metcalf? We did not predict Boyd was gonna play so well at the start of the season. Metcalf doesn't have the kicking and organizing game to be a 7. He's not a natural halfback and also injury prone.
Imo it would have been foolish not to sign him even given his ACL. Was the form half in the competition until the injury and Boyd not showing a lot in fg
Metcalf was our best option at the time but I am now thinking that he will never unfortunately get back to his best form
Unfortunate for us Warriors fans but could be a sad way for him to leave the game

Who was responsible for kicking & organising in his starts at #7 last season?

Just because he doesn't combine well with Boyd doesn't mean he's not a #7.
The club re-signing him last year might turn out to be a poor one, with the beauty of hindsight, but it was 100% the right one at the time when Boyd had zero wins against playoff teams in his 9 starts

So you're saying the dressing room cams didn't catch the flatulence being passed as Boyd walked by Metcalf..

Someone clip the vid or gif and show the wives to read body language lol, literally multiple posters with multiple interpretations already. I am not into making stuff up after a loss but people get PHDs for body language, remember AFB not at team song or looked quiet was just him disappointed at his own performance?

Luke still has the annoying habit of running then stopping dead in his tracks to kill momentum and the backline line. Did it again today. Cross field running then stopping to change direction. What’s with that ????

Hopefully it’s only a minor injury but his body is trying to tell him something

He crabs back when he’s out of form trying to find the rhythm and it was happening for the first 2-3 rounds last year, it’s annoying now cuz he’ll probably cut it out in a fortnight and start playing, but his hammy gave way again, so 2 weeks of investment out the window and restart the month of crab in 4-6 weeks

IMO his hammy probably went after not playing for 8 months and having to play 80min FG for 2 weeks in a row. Fitness not up to standard

For his history maybe play 3-4 cup games build from 60 towards 80min then play No. 14 or 18 on the bench and get 30-40 FG and work up to 80, first season back from acl usually pretty meh anyway?

Return and stay in cup for May, bench June and full fitness by July and ready to cover injuries for 2-3 months and having the rhythm back, reasonable for 1st year back from acl

If he wants home then we’ve got Boyd and CHT and about 5 other halves coming through, and good luck finding a club paying 900k for 12 games a year with a quarter of the time crabbing across field warming up

Should have only played 40mins max so he eases his way back into first grade… hindsight is my best friend

Bit different when Sam Walker didn't do a pre-season with the team like Metcalf did.
