That was a cracking interview. If you haven't watched it yet, you must do so.

I only took positives out of that, and didn't get any 'homesick' feels from that. In fact felt the opposite, he seems so tight with the group and Webby, and all of that seems genuine.

Can only wish the guy all the best and hope he recovers well to come back bigger and better than ever. I love the attitude he has of shooting for those big goals and being open about it. There isn't a cockiness there but a likeable confidence.

Still having higher rep honors ambitions with all the set backs and injuries is admirable
He has come through the OZ system and played junior SOO and been a star
No better grounding for anyone especially a half

Thinking, well at least we have 2 possible great halves with boyd and cleary, who could end up even better! The warriors don't need you! Which is a surprising feeling.

Yeah, I was a bit mixed in the feels department about hearing that.

But thinking about it further, I do wonder if there is a bit of water treading happening while we wait for a Jerome Hughes to come up through the development systems.

It feels like we've never gotten the 'homegrown halfback' right with people like SJ being a bit of a freak find (coming from touch).

I think the comforting thing is that we currently have a system that caters for both xfactor and systematic halfbacks, which kinda increases our chances of developing our own countrymen into halfbacks that we can use to good effect.

Just a thought.
