I don't know either - ask the poster called Ref I think he actually is a RefNot 100%, but doesn't the ball become neutral on a charge down?
OK nice one. Let's move on then.No he wasn't.
I reckon hes onside, Leka actually takes a couple of steps back to be onsideBunker too afraid to make such a call.
agree, thought the boyz were pretty flat, execution left a lot to be desired, which affected our forwards go forward, didn't really give tana a good platform to work in. seemed like the no tries and other calls from the ref affected us mentally - not in the zone??? still a wins a win, I'll take it any day, up da wahz!
That what I thought. He's behind Boyd when he collects anywayNot 100%, but doesn't the ball become neutral on a charge down?
He was fine, no coach would drop a halfback after that performance.Boyd's last 5-10 minutes had a few moments that weren't great.
The kick off would be my main concern.
The first drop goal would have been nice. But drop goals are pretty difficult. He wasn't far off with that one.
The second one was one of those messy ones you get at the end of games when players all rush up. My kids thought it was funny as he nearly falcon'd the ref.
The penalty from the second drop goal shows the benefit good challenges and having one late in the game.
The penalty would have been nice. Overall though the last few weeks his kicking has been good.
We don't have a coach that will drop as quickly as he had at the Titans. Instead he'll get some attention from Webster this week and some confidence shown in him.
He'll be keen to fix that last 10 minutes and gets to turn it around against his old club next week.
Yeah Boyd had the old choker syndrome in the last 10 minutesOh nah I was still pissy in the moment when he missed the one off the tee. He lands that exact one everytime if it was a normal conversion.
But yeah he will get better under pressure in this system. I just think he needs time. Same with him and CHT together.
Yeah Boyd had the old choker syndrome in the last 10 minutes
Missed two field goals - one directly in front with zero challengers on the 3rd tackle
Kicked the ball dead at kick off
Missed a penalty directly in front which should have won us the game
Got his 3rd FG attempt charged down ……
CHT must be so happy he wasn’t on kicking duties tonight!!!
Metcalf had the clutch gene
SJ the clutch gene
It seems Boyd might have what CHT suffers from
Tannah is in a good systemI once chocked in a cricket match 8 wickets down and 3 runs to win and I was the main batsman left and got out. So happened our number 11 had been demoted by the captain for capricious reasons and was a good player and he calmly smoked the ball through mid wicket for the winning runs.
Maybe 15 years later we were chasing some low total and I was the only main batsman left with the other end open to our tail. And I learned from the earlier failure and clutched up and punched the ball for two runs to win the game.
Tannah has also clutched up before. Titans beat the Warriors through a Boyd golden point Field goal. Finally his missed penalty at the end did comfortably miss, but he hit it well and didn't totally capitulate.
What I am trying to say is the fact we won anyway should see him bounce back.
What answer did Egan give as that would show what the team culture was?
he is a GOD!!!! release the baby!!!Sure, not bad for a back up half - let's talk about Leka tho - smoked Best for speed, then stepped Gagai off his feet... fuck man, that is FINE
