I used to be a Zyonist but Zyon Maiu’u left so I beame a Bunty appreciator, now I'm thinking of switching to the JackoFFS. I always have a favourite player, the whole team are like my sons but I love him the most, like Trump and Baron.
But in all seriousness, I love hard nosed Aussies who come here and play the workman role well. He's not the biggest player or even the most talented but he makes up for it with his effort areas. For every Leka we need a Jacko/Capewah.
I've heard a rumour that Ford may be offered to other clubs for next season to make room for Gannon even though Ford is contracted until the end of 2027/
This year his line speed is off the charts, he is flying into the contact. Might get shot down here coz I dunno his stats, but so far the penalties and errors seemed a bit dampened down.
He is starting to look like a really good forward.
I get it though, we have these star young forwards here and are importing another on top of that. Got to make room and all that.
That rumour makes no sense. We have holes in our roster next season, as well as money to burn. I doubt Gannon would be NRL bench ready next year, let alone good enough to dump Ford who's not even on a bad deal. Surely Lussick is that guy we're looking to cut.
This might sound strange but why not change Fords role to mimic Barnett?
Hes already transitioned to Prop.
Put on more weight.
Slow his play down - he doesn’t have to be an 80min energising bunny and make a million tackles
Work on his ball distribution
His awareness and football IQ
I think he can tick all the boxes
Although his defence positioning was quite shocking in the trials and his error rate is high but I attribute that to him trying to play a million miles an hour

I like Ford as an off the bench energiser who mops everything up and runs good lines when others are tiring. The issue he has had is that he makes fatigue-induced mistakes when left on too long because at that stage he is trying to work faster than he can manage.
He's very under rated on this forum - But to be fair he makes a few silly and badly timed errors, which you can't afford from your 3rd prop. He did a shit tone of work last season to cover Barney. If he could tidy up his errors and penalties, he'd be one of the most under rated players in the NRL IMO.
