or it could be that Dally M voting is infact not an accurate barometer of a players form, and it becomes highly political and influenced by the media. jacko got points one game where he was great but not our best and i put that down to the media tooting his horn, then against the dolphins he scored a try made 50 tackles and ran for 180m and got no points.

Ford in my view plays at a lower impact per minute but can maintain it for a long time. He’s effectively doing 2 props role himself at a high but not exceptional level.

I think it’s simply at representitive level they want that higher impact for shorter periods and have the luxury of excess of talent to rotate props more.

i dont disagree with this and i may be wrong statistically but my eye test, ford has more impact this season with the ball in hand than barnett does. post contact metres appear higher and he seems harder to tackle.
