Looks like he picked up akp so made sense to just release higher salaried player not worth even trading and cop the 50% hit

How much did you pick akp up for? I think i had 120 on him before i put that additional on vatuvei. Akp is the fastest player in the comp so prob good buy. His ovr might be a misleading in this case as he will be able to finish tries but not really create etc. Pair him with a centre who can create.
Sorry for unsolicited advice but i did really want him too but i dont rrally have centres who can create

Aah because his only game was off bench so that takes precendence as no other markers to indicate what his position would be.

Aah i didnt think anyone would have put a bid on him so first thing i did was look for him in free agency when it started and saw he wasnt available.
For everyone - Ive said this before, but who you pair players up with matters to a degree. Even if you have avg players ie a wing, they can be made to be better if their inside sr and ctr can put them into space etc.

You can put whichever players on the bench. But...
In real life props tire faster, second rowers etc.
Jersey numbers dont matter. What matters is that the bench players are likely to interchange with players in their complimentary spots first, esp if they are tired.
Im not 100% but i would recommend a bench makeup of say 2 props, 1 sr/lk, 1 utility/hk etc.
Obviously players with multi positions are best as they cover more.
There are lots of variables. There are HIA etc so you just want to cover as much base as possible.
