Theres still a bit of time perhaps a week or two before we kick off the auctions. some new features are being added i.e. adding players on the trade block etc.
 
Does a trade have to be an even trade? Ie if I bought Manu for $500k and I traded him +$200k for Maloney who some one paid $1m for, how does that look for each others cap and when I get Maloney how much is he worth on my books and how much is he worth if I then trade him out.

Players salaries are fixed at what price they were bought at, and travel with the player wherever that may be.

So for your example:

So just to clarify, if I had spent all my cap I wouldn't be able to trade out Manu at $500k for Maloney to come in at $1m because it would put me over the cap by $500k

Corrrect.

There is a check done so that both teams need to be compliant under the salary cap for the proposed trade.
 
BTW i will give a few tips as we go along. For example, if you had players who played together, there will be better team chemistry between the players. Might need to take note of that as you build your team.

Most of the pages you see on https://nzwarriors.com/ultimate-team/ are complete. I would recommend all particpants play around and in there and have a look around (i believe Auction might be the only one that is not really accessible right now).

Oh and the player attributes have NOT yet been rated. All the data will be wiped (except the teams) before we start so play around and get a feel. Provide suggestions or feedback if something doesnt look right or needs improvement or want further clarification.

Looking for probably 2 more teams to start off the first season of https://nzwarriors.com/ultimate-team/. If you are interested, just apply through the front page of the link (also helps me drop your team directly into the simulation so you can start having a look around with higher access on how to do trades, auctions, press conferences, submit game plans, view match as a franchise owner).

Player ratings are mostly done. There may be some subtle changes here and there but lets go with what we have. Teams can start scouting players -> https://nzwarriors.com/ultimate-team-players/. Note that players have been rated per position, and based on their performance at the Warriors (or in case of Linnane, AKP, some leeway applied etc).

Attributes are weighted per position, so a 80 rated 'Power' attribute is more beneficial at say Prop, than say a Halfback. Some traits about the player is also shown on their player card, and it has had an impact on their attribute ratings.

If some ratings look off, please let me know showing an example and i can fix.

If everyone ok with an Auction Start date of say next weekend? There will be 10 rounds, 25 players each round. You can make silent bids at anytime on the player for the round, at the end of 24 hours the highest bidder automatically gets the player. Auction results etc are all automatic and results published and the new round starts. If you want to have a play with auctions, head over to https://nzwarriors.com/ultimate-team-season/auction and make a bid etc.

All the existing data is test/dummy data and simulations have been based off that, and will be deleted prior to season start - Player and Franchise data now being the only exceptions.

Aaah the good ole trick of getting me to bid for a player to know how much you have to outbid me.

Luckily i am one step ahead and added an additional dollar to it after i showed you that screenshot.

BTW you can remove/edit your bids as well ;)
 
Can you select players in any position once you have your squad? Some of the current positions assigned to players look a bit odd.
