Fish off the bench if he was coming back from a leg injury would be good. Pec injury he might as well run as per normal.
Either way nothing to lose by using the bench for a game.
These big engine guys tend to go better if you run them hard all the time, otherwise the risk is psychological, that they lose their drive and become guarded shadows of themselves, at least that is very much the personality you see in him and Barnett.
They are just better moving non stop.
I think we have seen a few Warriors over the years lose the drive after repeated injuries, they become neutered dogs.

And then not going in at full tit makes for further injuries
Might not even see Hudson young and Big red if they get the tip for origin, we would be without Barnett tho.

And you cannot blame these guys, they start worrying about mortgage payements and the like.

I think we have been getting a decent go with them overall.
Sure there are square ups and other shakey crap in stages, but most games we seem at least to enjoy a block of minutes with a decent share of the fifty fifties etc.
I suspect that the astute use of the Captains call is helping us. The Ref starts to look silly after multiple wrong calls and that can't do us any hard....but to be fair to the officials, for that to be true then you have to acknowledge that the bunker has been fair in over turning those calls.

Personally, I don't think it's a coincidence that we saw so many upsets over the weekend. I don't think it's sinister or anything, but the refs were definitly playing around with momentum management.
As for us, I think you're correct.
We get some favourable calls, but we also get some stinkers. Happens to pretty much every team. It is what it is.
I'll say that I think we are managing the officials really well this year. There was a point in magic round where Clark was barking at the ref, the ref told him to calm down and then we got given a call shortly afterwards.
Maybe something about being more vocal and then getting successful challenges causes the on field ref to call penalties in your favour more?
I like your observation about the captains calls too, seems like we're using them really well.
The reason those two are eighty minute forwards is because through the grades and various coaches they have had they have said to the coach I can keep going.
That is the only way you end up with big engine players, the player determines their limits.
This is the Arthur Lydiard method btw and is a science around base fitness.
Some horses need to run, because they were born to run.
But..... rotation is for a purpose too. Haas. May. They seem like 80min props but our blokes are more like 60 - 65min props to me. I get the science. I get my opinion and ideas too. And the anecdotal evidence of how ragged our guys are in the last two games as a small sample for rotation and minutes management.
