Pick Your Team Dolphins v Warriors - [Round 11, 2025]

i think you want more pace in the backline rather than less, which probably means roger playing center, even though he wasn't that good at it last year - and who knows what could happen with him and DWZ next to each other -
That's kind of what I'm worried about. I don't think Webby is a 'who knows what could happen' kinda guy, so I think he'll stick with Capewah at centre.

Well we know for all the fretting around here that Taine is a much better defender than Dallin.

I like Dallin but his return was a reminder of why we have been relatively spoiled by the fill in players like Taine.

While Taine has been on the wing by in large (bearing in mind Wing is not his position) we have had one of our best defensive runs in the clubs long history of leaky edges. At least if you put Tuaupiki with a specialist Center he holds his own.

Same is True having Pompey on a wing, hell Pompey anywhere is a defensive Rock....might as well throw him at fullback...(joking...sort of).

If we move Charnze for the sake of being hypothetical. I'd run Dallin at fullback and leave Taine on the wing.

Eddie Ieremia Toeava might be ready to go centre inside Pompey unless the enigmatic Kosi returns.

This is so true.

I was super pumped for DWZ to come back, but now I'm getting 2024 flashbacks of defensive lapses and wrestling moves.

Are we at the point where our young guns are just better for the game plan?

Considering our current winning momentum, does the possibility exist that DWZ might kill this, atleast on his side of the field?

I feel like we were having this conversation around the same time, last year.

I think we'll see Charnze at centre this week, I can't see Capewell as a good matchup with either Averillo or Farnworth - they're too fast both of them, and Farnworth is very strong too - and we're going have to debut someone cos of injuries - I'd go:

TT
DWZ
Charnze
Pompey
RTS
CHT
LM

JFH
Egan
Marata
Leka
Capewell
Clark

Healey
Demetric
Barney
EIT
Lol I just about left Barnett out cos I like Marata starting at prop ... and yeah probably don't have to debut anyone, Laban instead of EIT

The events people, these young Whiz kids they hire for home games should be looking at fan engagement for the Away supporters.
Grow the base. Obviously winning is the key to sustainable growth.

It's feast or famine with this club.

If we keep winning - we keep growing the supporter base.

If we keep losing - we lose them.

The general consensus that I've witnessed is that we have the luxury of being a very popular second club.

I would pretty confidently say that if we made a grand final this year, the majority of the general supporter base would be in our corner.
