After getting knocked out it is natural to be dissapointed. Cause if we won there's still a chance to dream.

Overall this has been a good season. We competed most weeks, won a lot of close games, was deep in the 8 for the majority of the season.

As much as we have a squad and depth in certain areas. The two season ending injuries were to one of our captains and our half back who was our main kicker and who was providing some spark on attack. Injuries to a few other areas may have been easier to cover.

We need to build off this. One of the reasons for 2024 was the shorter pre season. Need to get that right. Become consistent semi finalists and improve our chances of pushing on.

Good seeing the young NSW Cup guys coming in and performing.

Our forwards really turned up - effort, intensity, hammering them tackle after tackle and driving them backwards more often than not. Fish put in a good shift, as did Clark. Ford was unlucky to get pinged for things every other player does 10 times a game.

Our back line really did not step up at all, apart from RTS.

Webby had a shocker. Playing TMM as a lock, then late mailing in Healey to barely play. What was the sense in that? The bloke really cannot use a bench effectively and it has cost us time and time again.

I thought he nailed the rotations.

This to me was one of his best coaching efforts. Had the team up and liked his creativity in using TMM in that way.

There probably isn't space for both TMM & Healey on the bench but I like the roll of the dice.

The match was lost on the back of individuals who are simply not up to scratch.

Webby squeezed every last ounce he could from what he had to work with.

I've been a stern critic of his at times but I'm struggling to fault him this game.

Good defense intensity, we tried hard. Our problems are our halves, our attack and kicking game is poor. Cleary won that game for Penrith.

Egan looks broken and Charnze plays like a prop not an attacking fullback. Been a rough ride since metcalf, Barnett got injured.

Hopefully Jet Cleary lives up to his potential, partners with metcalf.

… and these nz commentators are terrible!!
Yes yet again dumb mistakes in attack cost us CNK has blinkers on should have passed in the 1st half to an open Leka but no CNK thinks he's a prop and must always try and hit it up !!!!!

second half Leka had an open DWZ blinkers on again got the try but FFS there is an easier way to do it boys

then of course leka again must have felt bad about that so made sure to pass but about 3m behind DWZ, where had he justb held on his defender wasn't going stop him ...

So couple tries

panther got couple lucky ones

Sorry for my negativity lads, but at the end of the day we’ve won 2 from our past 9 games, and those wins against sides inconvenienced and have refused to drop players who need to be and failed to adapt game play wise. Bit of a waste of time being in finals to make up the numbers.
Just hope webby learns from this as the next 5 years could be a premiership window

Yeah valid points. I suppose who was the alternative to Healey - a busted EIT, or bringing in Bunty after yonks in the wilderness.

you've been negative for the whole year. Tonight's not the night. Come back and bitch about CNK tomorrow.

I kinda forget just how good Cleary can be - take him out of the Panthers side, and do they even make the finals?
Legit one of the greats just painted another masterpiece

His kicking game and situational awareness is best in class

Right before kickoff he was looking in the sky trying to assess the wind strength and direction. Tannah the choker should have done the same. His penalty might have found touch 🙄

Was live at the game. Such a wrestle, felt like we were in it until the the bad bounce->forward pass run.

What a season! To achieve so much whole enduring so much adversity is a sign of character. Sure we had a bad back end to the season but in years gone past the fans would be begging for the 8, now the fans are upset we didn’t reach the 4. Things are looking bright and I’m looking forward to what one more preseason and another year of a tight roster can deliver

Now to drown my sorrows at Skycity 🫡
