On the defence team, its was the same team as Jesse Shane Kempson. How the hell did he afford them?

Yeah in the early few weeks I said to the Mrs my guess is that he'd be found not guilty.

I personally think he did it, however you have to say there is some reasonable doubt there and that's really all they need

I read online some articles about the case and how truly manipulating he was with a previous girlfriend (she's lucky he didn't kill her). the police did an excellent job in prosecuting him, well done nz police.

In America this guy would be on the radar of the FBI serial killer Profiling unit.

In America his past movements and missing persons or unsolved crimes links would be traced to tie him to his other murders.

In New Zealand he gets accepted at his word that he wanted to try something for the first time, even though as you have ably described he is a highly manipulative, a compulsive liar, a stone cold killer who is probably laughing at the system only catching him one time for one of likely many crimes.

There is no way based on everything we know about the science of profiling that this guy has not committed other serious crimes.

It’s a real illness for some this social media. I can sort of understand, when my phone tells me the amount of time spent from the week before I cringe. If I was paid on an hourly rate I’d be doing alright. To inflict something like this is next level though

Without even reading it I can tell you the Mother suffers from munchausens by proxy syndrome.

Absolutely text book the attention seeking by intentional harm to the child through medical illness. We know a lot about this disorder.

It predates social media and the phenomenon of 'influencers' the internet and social media is merely a tool for expression of a disorder which will be expressed in one form or another with or without the internet.

I can't comment on how Aussie rolls, but here she would be sent by a Judge to a forensic unit for the criminally insane for assessment. OrangaTamariki would uplift all children and place them in some form of care, first preference would be to remain within the family, placed with siblings of the mother or grandparents.

Failing that they go into state care while the Mother is interviewed by criminal psychologists and Forensic psychiatrists.

They will scan all medical records looking for a pattern of sudden unexplained illnesses, and will see who reported them (likely the mother).

Once the diagnosis of Maunchousen by proxy is made, the parent is not allowed unsupervised access to children for the rest of their lives, for obvious reasons, it is an illness that kills children.
