Politics 🤡 Donald Trump

This is real interesting. There are two Christian schools on this issue. 1) Believes Church and State should work together. 2) The other believes Church and state need to be separate.
2025 project is a push for the Church and state to work together. Problem is historically that has almost always lead to massive issues. This is where Trump is most vulnerable to making his biggest mistake. He will be tempted to give groups like the 2025 project too much power.
Since when does Trump allow anyone else to have power except him?

It sounds like Iran where you have no separation of religion and state. Handmaids tale book was based upon this premise. God help the US if they bring in this.
Ahh Handmaids Tale is based on several ideas, and the while the non separation is a key tenant its not the founding.

Since ruling classes always make sure they get the best and rarest of desirable goods and services, and as it is one of the axioms of the novel that fertility in the industrialized West has come under threat, the rare and desirable would include fertile women—always on the human wish list, one way or another—and reproductive control. Who shall have babies, who shall claim and raise those babies, who shall be blamed if anything goes wrong with those babies? These are questions with which human beings have busied themselves for a long time. - Margaret Atwood.

Nations never build apparently radical forms of government on foundations that aren’t there already; thus China replaced a state bureaucracy with a similar state bureaucracy under a different name, the USSR replaced the dreaded imperial secret police with an even more dreaded secret police, and so forth. The deep foundation of the United States—so went my thinking—was not the comparatively recent 18th-century Enlightenment structures of the Republic, with their talk of equality and their separation of Church and State, but the heavy-handed theocracy of 17th-century Puritan New England—with its marked bias against women—which would need only the opportunity of a period of social chaos to reassert itself. - - Margaret Atwood.

Many Christians (mainly protestants) have traditionally opposed it. As it is the reason America was formed. The puritans fled Europe when Church and state were joined at the hip. The inevitable result is the persecution of minority dissenters. The separation is mandated in the constitution of America. Many Christians have forgotten history and the terror it brought during the dark ages. Remember things like the Spanish Inquisition and other torturous abuses inflicted by the Church on heretics who would not comply. There are more mundane problems but it has not ended well historically. This is a justifiable concern…

outstanding!

Trump is a narcissistic megalomanic. He uses everyone around him to his own ends and discards them when hes done. Why would he acquiesce to anyone?

The devil you know is not the one you have to watch out for.

Fundamentally, this is the reason why he's an attractive prospect in politics.

Your Bidens, Bushes, Clinton's and Obama's are all snakes in the grass; wolves to that pretend to be your friend, while eating your kids. Trumps positive is that he isn't politically convincing at all, you know he's there to further his own business interests.

Yes mis represented, it jas come from a thinktank Trump doesn't know much about it but has said some of the ideas in it are abhorrent, trump is not going to install project 25
Oh bullshit. More disinformation. He's right alongside project 25, his public facade is denial.

Here's the problem with the right and far right. Fascism. Authoritarianism. Climate denial (looking at you Frank). Extraction of wealth upwards. Disinformation campaigns. You're being played.

When you look at the definition of fascism with regards to autocracy, militarism and the blending of government and big business I think the liberal elites of the democratic party are far closer to a nazi outlook.

Carry on with your disinformation and conspiracies you lot. You're welcome to them.

Mate - it’s the left that is authoritarian (to be fair anyone can be, including the right, but we are seeing radical left in our time). That’s why many countries around the world are shunning them and going right.
The left arrogantly believes they know what’s best for everyone. They shut done speech, buy out the media and enforce their BS dogma. They speak so nicely and pretend they do it because they care but really want control. That’s why people get sucked in. After a while people see their true colours like aunty Cindy. Aunty Hillary C, Justin Trudeau. The point is the left are at least as dangerous if not more in their current state.
