Fresh out Australia. 2 points; This is pretty much how I learned I had a different skin colour, except it was face to face with a 30yo skinhead in chch, screaming this at me and telling me to suck his dick. I was probably 7. 2nd, I thought wed solved this by banning Spencer for 8 weeks

Point is while people are arguing over a rainbow flag painted on a road, which seemingly violates your own roading bylaws, the real problems still exist. New Zealand's DV rates still climbing along with obesity and mental health crisis...

Sorry, wasn't aware of anything like that, I've only read the daily blog. While I don't agree with some of it, I thought that post was accurate enough
No idea what you're on about Frank sorry.
If the laws very specifically say crossings have to be black and white, why are they allowed to be multi colour in this instance. Ergo why must a majority follow the law but a minority dont have to.

It’s a case where morally right clashes with what’s legally right.
The legal requirements are for safety, visibility and consistency. Tauranga council wanted to paint shadows around a crossing to make it look 3D and they couldn’t get approval for those reasons… so they just did it anyway…
Personally don’t have an issue with rainbow crossings but I think Tamaki is pushing this knowing he’s legally in the right…
I'm not sure if you guys have seen the crossing but it isn't an actual 'pedestrian crossing' or zebra crossing, so it does not need to be black and white.
It's just a normal crossing at traffic lights that you use when the little green man lights up. The one in Gisborne is also a courtesy crossing, not an actual pedestrian crossing. There is no circumventing of any rules here.

Highlights: the Reserve Bank over-stimulated the economy during the pandemic they have now over-restricted it. They have unfortunately become a source of instability in the New Zealand economy – first creating the tightest labour market conditions on record and pushing inflation above 7%, and now crushing the economy to the extent retail spending volumes per capita are running 11% down from two years ago. Incompetent seems too generous a word for what they have done.
The previous Finance Minister oversaw a blowout in the government’s net debt to GDP ratio from under 6% to near 20% with no clear improvement in economic or social outcomes.
Half the last 3 years has been spent with a declining economy:
During Labour’s term growth in this measure was just 3.3%. In the previous six years to late-2017 growth was 10.1%. The recent decline is stark.
For a while during and after the reforms of the late-1980s into early-1990s it looked like New Zealand was getting set to move back up the OECD ladder of income per capita. Not now. The country has lost its way and just as Opposition parties talking about a wealth tax provide an incentive to shift one’s funds out of New Zealand, so too do the economic and social underlying trends suggests it may be a good idea to shift oneself as well
Our export led economy has been decline for 20 years and is now at 1970 levels.

Im not sure questioning should result in reflection. Seems its a mural, ie an artwork and Tamaki is proved to be a bigot yet again. Nothing contradictory, or hypocritical. No group is above examination, thats how facts are established, as evidenced here.

No point talking to a prick like that yelling at kids, good reason for the death penalty. Same fate that skinhead from your childhood deserves.
I'm starting to come around to the idea of capital punishment, I've got to that age where you start turning more conservative and you hate the music at Mt Smart on game day and start calling for the death penalty. You wake up listening to the Mike Hosking breakfast after another one of those dreams about Erica Stanford ...I've said too much.
