Here’s a reasonable explanation. NZ just can’t compete with what Australia can offer in wages and a way of life that’s a draw for some. Many often return later in life but unfortunately we’ve missed what they contribute to our economy in their working careers

There are more non professional people leaving for Oz as it has always been. The untrained, unqualified have way more lucrative job opportunities in Australia then here. Nothing has changed. If Australia has a general wage difference of +25% and you are on the bones of your arse here, why wouldn't you go? As approx 600k have.

Not too sure about that. Based on history on here I would think Frank's dinner table may be far more interesting and global than old mate. You guys might not see it but I think Frank is actually quite left of centre. We can't escape our upbringing as much as the pollies tell us different.

IMO, retarded grifters but then I'm an old boomer that shouts at clouds a lot. TBF, I do have a grand daughter who is into that stuff and in amongst the whisky fumes we can have an intelligent debate.
