A user #7 highlighted Labour's annual 9% spending growth versus 1.5% under previous governments, arguing this fueled inflation. National's tax-cut policy faced scrutiny over funding gaps and legality, with user #215 questioning Luxon's reliance on "trust me" assurances.
Leadership competence emerged as a critical theme, particularly in later posts. Luxon drew heavy criticism after a contentious interview where he struggled to defend policy details #194#199#211, while Willis faced backlash for her economic credentials. Hipkins garnered fleeting praise for articulation but was ultimately seen as representing poor governmental outcomes #45#119. A trusted user #308 presented expert economic analysis contradicting Treasury optimism. Infrastructure issues—like Wellington's water crisis and the dental school staffing shortage—were cited as examples of systemic mismanagement #235#12. Notable policy debates included road-user charges for EVs #220, immigration impacts on rents #299, and coalition scenarios involving NZ First #182#258. Early fringe discussions on candidates' rugby allegiances gave way to substantive policy critiques, culminating in grim Treasury forecasts discussed in posts #271#304#308. User #168 also revealed concerns about Labour rushing regulatory changes to entrench policies pre-election.

Not really the point though is it Mike. Im sure that the infrastructure would have been planned and built taking into account any future issues. That's sn engineering problem. And 3 billion for infrastructure and two well constructed new ferries future proofed for rail was a bargain. D bomb? Yep I used perplexity to save time. So what. The government are borrowing 5 times what the ferries would have cost to pay for tax cuts we can’t afford. In the middle of a prolonged manufactured recession. This government are utterly inept except for looking after their mates.
Give it up.... Tomkin Taylor did the report into the effects of climate change that went with the iRex Resource Consent Application where they said the seawall protecting a wharf and terminal designed to last 100 years would only accommodate at lease 50 years of sea-level rise. It was a colossal waste of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and before you say that the report says the "climate change is considered less than minor" that is about the effect the terminal and wharf would have on the climate change... not the effect the rising sea levels caused by climate change would have had on the project.

Not sure about the efficacy of that report Mike, have a feeling it was written by the guy that boned Winnie at Wellington Railway Station a little while back

I dont follow either party, but I know that Rukshan is an RW agitator, employed by Rebel Media, some Canadian far right outfit, and got done for DV. I wouldnt trust a thing he says.

Regardless, point of the post was asking about NZ's direction since its unlikely you guys will swing to the right from where you are now.
Looks like the usual bunch of freedom cookers falling for another psyop, do you support this event or are you just drawing it to our attention?
Yes chances are it will catch on here too with our cast of grifters and their rubes.

What do you call throwing away 600 plus million on cancelling the ferry deal? Anyway up the wahz.

Support it? In what way? Im merely an observer. I dont know or follow anyone involved or apparently running it. I do know a few people who are planning on attending, of various gender and ethnic heritages. In fact the Lebs and Greek are pretty vocal about it :ROFLMAO:

You think anyone who is against infinite migration is a grifter or a rube? I dont think you guys are at the same stage of national discourse regarding immigration, especially considering the NZ born kiwi net negative migration balancing the ledger.
